History
| Personal History | Jake and his brother Jack were inseparable growing-up. They joined the service together, fought together, always had each other's backs. Cross one, you crossed both. This all changed when Jake met Serra - a young Betazoid woman with whom he instantly fell in love. Their courtship threatened to drive a wedge between the brothers. This came to a head when Jack forced his younger brother to choose between them; and Jake chose love over blood. Jake and Serra eventually married, and had a daughter named Mia. His career was successful and he was climbing the ranks of the Empire's armed forces. The destruction of Betazed changed that. Forced to watch from orbit as the entire world was devastated by Reuben Gregnol, Jake lost everything. Serra was killed in the bloodbath, and Mia was forcibly abducted by the Empire's inquisitors to be trained to serve; with no contact between them permitted. Jake swore that next to his oath to the Emperor was the only thing greater than vengeance upon the Butcher of Betazed - his entire career and ambition would put him on a course that would only end with one of them lying dead at the feet of the other. |
