Personality & Traits
General Overview | A former member of the Romulan military, now fully independent and a key member of the Fenris Rangers. Inherited a T'liss warbird from an old salvage yard and has put together a crew of like-minded individuals to help patrol the abandoned systems of the old Star Empire. Has no particular love for the Tal Shiar or the new Free State, having felt that both abandoned the common people they should have been protecting. Equally distrustful of the Federation for its unwillingness to follow-through with aid for refugees and those in need of humanitarian aid. |
History
Personal History | Kaylin was born into a military family, taught from a young age the importance of loyalty and service to the Empire. Her two brothers both served in the military and she was no different - joining and committing to service wasn't even a debate. She rose to command a Valdore-class warbird called the RRW Mandukar ('Vigilant' in standard) and proudly . Of course, Hobus changed all of that. Kaylin lost her second-elder brother to the supernova. And following the disaster, the Mandukar was recalled and her command was taken by the Tal Shiar, wanting to consolidate as many advanced warships as possible. Although still wanting to loyally serve the Empire, Kaylin found herself relegated to assisting refugee ships making the journey out of former Romulan space. It was when the Federation began scaling-back their aid, however, that Kaylin realised that she had been betrayed not only by the Empire she had devoted her life to serving but also the supposed allies that promised help. At this time her eldest brother was killed by a violent raid by Tal Shiar-sympathisers, supposedly representing the new Free State. Disgusted by what had become of her once-proud people, she withdrew from the military, gathered some trusted contacts, and decided to take matters into her own hands. In her mind, none of the supposed 'powers' in the Alpha and Beta quadrants would serve any cause but their own - so why shouldn't she? Acquiring a mothballed T'varo-class ship - the Thrai - Kaylin and her small crew joined the loosely formed Fenris Rangers, their mission to help preserve the pride of those Romulans no longer shielded by the wings of Romulus. |
