Sickbay was abuzz with activity. As there were several individual crisis taking place (the discovered stowaway girl, Dixoho's failing health and now poor Johnathan Anderson), that the small medical staff was stretched quite thin.

Johnathan was resting fitfully in sickbay. He had been secured to the biobed with soft restraints, for both his own well being, and those that came to treat him. He would lash out like a wild animal when any one came near. While his initail, physical, injuries had been treated and mostly healed, his mental damage was still quite extensive. Thus far, none of the treatments knkwn to the medical staff had any effect. All they could do, for now unfortunately, was keep him restrained and as comfortable as possible.

Cassie stood in the doorway of the small side ward that Jonathan had been moved to try and settle down and allow everyone to work. She had not come any closer than that since he had come on board. She could sense him just there but she did not want to come any closer but did not want to break the dream that he was alive. It had been so hard to keep the hope alive around it all that she worried if she touched him it would break the dream and she would find herself alone. “You need to come back properly.” She hissed.

Hearing her speak, Johnathan slowly stirred. As soon as he opened his eyes, and saw that he was still in the strange bright place. He tried to shield his eyes, but his arms wouldn't move. Snarling in anger, he tried break free of the restraints, however, no matter how much he tried, the straps holding him didn't budge. Finally, exhausted from continuous attempts, he finally relented. There was no escape from wherever here was.

He began to weep softly, having to turn his head to one side so he wouldn't choke. That was when he smelled it. That smell from the food market! It was so familiar. If only he knew why. Carefully, he tried to look around the strange room. Then, their eyes locked. He knew this person....no...this...this angel! HIS ANGEL!!

He was making attempts to speak. "K.K...KA....KA'SEE!!!"

Cassie looked frustrated at him as he screamed her Vulcan name. It was unusual to hear it from anyone, no one cared to call her it. They just called her Cassie as it was easier or they just did not know it. She shook her head as she moved closer. “Do not scream. Other people are around.” She chastised not sure how to help. She was not an expert in mental health even despite her own sectioning after the mushroom planet 150 years ago. “I do not know how to help you.” She admitted frustrated. “I do not even know what has happened to make you like this.”

Though he couldn't fully understand what his Angel was saying, he did understand the tone. He had upset her with his outburst. Upsetting her was the last thing he ever wanted to do. Calming down, he shrank back as much as he could, to show his submission to her. He bent his right hand towards her, but, wasn't able to move much with the restraints. Looking up at her, his eyes watered. There was recognition of a kind there. He tried to indicate his hand, hoping that she would hold it.

Cassie shook her head at what he was looking like she wanted her to do. “I can not touch you.” She said in a softer voice. “Nath… I do not understand how you got into this mess at all. Why you simply did not pick up a communication and ring Starfleet or ring anyone we knew because we know people out there.” She wondered knowing she would not get a response. “We have a new doctor. Maybe he will be better than Vinny and work out what is going on with you?” She wondered fiddling with the blanket around him making sure it was on him comfortable.

His heart sank when his Angel refused to touch him. In his dreams she touched him willingly. However, now, here, wherever here was, she nolonger thought him worthy of her touch. He didn't know what he had done to lose her favor but, it must have been something grievous, as the Angels were never wrong. Shame filled him. Shame and heartbreak. If only he could speak his Angel's tongue, he would beseech her to forgive him. However, he knew but one word to form in his mouth.

The name of his angel. Ka'see.

"Ka'see...." he said quieter, weaker, sadder. He couldn't look in her beautiful eyes. He had no right to. Slowly, he turned away from her, knowing he had failed her. "Ka'see...." he said again as he turned his head and tucked his chin in. "Ka'see......" he began to whimper softly, then weep. He knew then and there, that he was forever alone. He shut his eyes tightly and begged for the darkness to take him.

Cassie shook her head. "Stop saying my name like that." She whispered as a young woman came around the door and smiled at her.

"It is all he says." She commented on holding out her hand to the woman. "Lialli." She greeted. Cassie took the offered hand and frowned at the familiar-looking woman. She could not place her at all and it annoyed her.

"I know," Cassie muttered taking back her hand. "It is my name."

"I know," Lialli said in the same tone before winking at the woman trying to soothe the anger she could feel from her. It was not wrong to feel like that but for a hybrid vulcan who tended to act more Vulcan it most likely left her seething under the surface.

"Ka'see...." he whispered, nearly imperceptibly.

“Well I cannot communicate with someone who just keeps saying my name like that.” Cassie commented giving him a side look.

“It has to be hard for you Ensign?” Lialli asked making Cassie look at her confused as the woman just looked at her with a familiar smile. No one had called her Ensign in a long time.

“It is hard. I have no idea what to do. This isn’t something that I know how to deal with. I cannot help him. He needs medical support for whatever has happened to him.” The hybrid finally said.

“Time heals.” The blonde in front of Cassie advised. “And we have a doctor onboard now.”

“We do.” Cassie mused looking at the man for a long time before looking back at the woman but she was already gone. She needed to find out who she was and why she was so familiar. What a strange experience?
