Rueben gasped waking up he looked around his darkened room confused. He was sure he had heard a voice in his room but in the semi darkness he saw no one. He slammed his hand clumsily against the wall for the controller for the room. The room brightened slightly and he gasped at the person who was stood there in his room, Jeassaho wearing a Starfleet Uniform.

“Jeassaho?” He wondered sleepily turning on his side to looked at her at he tried to understand why she would be in his room after weeks of avoidance especially when he had left her in Sickbay not hours before.

“You let us down.” The woman said in a monotone voice and the Russian had never heard her use before. It was confusing, he slowly swung himself to sit up but he faltered a little and staggered forward. “You can’t even stand up now.”

“You’ve just woke me up. Are you feeling better?” Rueben didn’t have a clue what was going on but he didn’t like it at all. Jeassaho wasn’t meant to be wearing Starfleet Uniform she was on sabbatical from being Chief Engineer, he had technically kidnapped her to save her from Starfleet Intelligence. He slowly stumbled up and forward towards wearing the woman stood leaning against the entrance to his bathroom.

“You’ve been sleeping for years solnyshka,” She murmured the familiar phrase in a tongue that didn't belong to her. It was his phrase, his word for her. She had imazadi to call him so he had his home tongue to call her his sunshine.

“No I haven’t. I’ve been running and hiding to protect you. To keep you safe because if you are safe the old me still exists in the universe… still…” He muttered stumbling into the wall nearest to him having been looking at the wall to avoid looking foolish but his body had betrayed him. It was the sharp, short burst of pain in his shoulder that made him look up at the bathroom gain and blink confused at the empty room. Where was Jeassaho? Hadn't she been standing there just second before? “Jeassaho? JJ?” He looked around as he scrubbed at his sweat soaked face. Just what was going on?
