Leiddem ran down the corridor trying to catch the woman up in front of him. He had walked her back to the ship after all the revelations and left her to wander off but now he found himself needing to talk to her more. “Hey wait up...” He called hoping she would slow down enough for him to catch his breath and catch up with her.

Keera heard Leiddem call out to her. Inwardly, she was glad to her the voice again. She didn't understan what was going on with her. Usually, she could play the temptress and get any man she wanted. But with Leiddem, she seemed backward, unable to be herself. She turned with a huge smile.

"Yes?" She asked as she awaited him.

"Sorry..." He stopped a few feet back watching her reaction to him following. She was smiling, that was good... Very good to say the least. "I wanted to talk more." He admitted looking at the ground.

Keera paused, noticing him looking to the ground. Was that good? She was used to men not able to take their eyes off of her. She hadn't noticed this side of Leiddem earlier.

She pretty much had told him everything she could at the moment. However, it struck Keera as a good thing for him to want to talk more. She looked forward to it, seemed to want him to talk more.

"That would be nice," she responded. That would be nice? When have I ever responded to a man with, "That would be nice?"

"So can i come with you?" He wondered thinking his quarters were two decks down.

"I wasn't going anywhere special," Keera admitted. "Just to my quarters. But yes, you may."

"Thank you," He followed her to her quarters and smiled at how much bigger it was than his.

She couldn't understand why she was so nervous, saying things she wouldn't normally say. The quarters may have been big, but furnishing were sparse. There was only a table, a couch, and a king sized bed within. She laughed, "Rueben didn't like me too much at first, but since Jeass is to follow, he gave me a nice quarters."

Leiddem smiled a little as he looked around. “You know Rueben for all his faults is a good guy. He really does love my sister. He adored her, she had him wrapped around her little finger... but I suspect you know her charm.” He could remember Jeassaho bringing Rueben home to meet her parents when the Victory had been sent to be re fitted allowing most of the crew Shore Leave. Lwustrexen and Adrem Kea had been impressed with the young Executive Officer’s politeness and affection for there youngest daughter, even more surprised by his utter respect for there culture and openness despite his reserved up bringing in Russia. He had been very different from from the usual partner the Engineer brought home. “He gave you one of the best... I think this might have been his quarters when we first came onboard.”

Keera sat on the couch, next to the arm. She wasn't herself at all, not able to think what to say. Keera couldn't understand the effect this one man was having upon her. She felt backwards, as if she were falling into nothing in a dream sequence. This time, like those dreams, Keera hoped to awake before hitting the ground, if there was ground.

"I'm sorry I have nothing to offer for drink," she managed. "Not much furnishing, but please, sit," she motioned to the couch where she sat. It was the only spot to sit in the quarters.

The Marine sat on the couch taking up far more room than needed but he was a lanky man and liked to spread out. “Pretty comfy couch... He really thinks Jeassaho is coming here.” He said surprised.

Of course, he would want to talk about Jeass. What else did I expect him to talk about? Keera didn't fully understand that disappointment she felt. Why was she letting this guy get to her? What was different about Leiddem Kea that gave her butterflies inside.

"When Jeass realized I'd had enough from the Admiral and learned my intentions to leave StarFleet, she asked to come along. We decided I'd leave and once I had gotten settled, she would follow. She has no idea I came here though," Keera explained.

Leiddem smiled a little catching her thoughts. "I hope she doesn't reject you for the tricks." He said, he knew that Jeassaho once hurt barely forgive.

"Our relationship," Keera explained, "is a no-strings type. Purely for the passion and pleasure. I know that deep down, despite being angry with him, she loves Reuben. She knows that she can't give me everything a man can offer me." Blood red became the color of her cheeks. She inwardly cursed herself, having never been this backward with a man.

"She might though... " he countered turning to grin at her. "We might have to find you someone else to toy with." He teased half heartedly.

Keera had toyed a little with Red when she came aboard. That led to confusing Dixoho more than anything, as it often did for females when Keera left them know she was attracted. Keera realized that she was attracted to Leiddem too, but was falling all over her words, not able to express it. She wasn't used to this. Was Leiddem toying with her?

"I'm hoping I can find someone as special to me as Reuben is to Jeass." Did she really say that? It had never been her desire before. Her past with men often led her not to trust them. Perhaps it was her trusting relationships with her older sisters that caused her to often reach out to female relationships. But seeing how much Reuben actually completed Jeass was changing her views.

"You think that and you've never seen them together. By the deities you will never be able to a casual relationship again." He teased her hearing her doubts like she said them aloud. "And no I am not toying with you. Why would you think that."

She became quiet, trying to read him. She had become so flustered with this man, she had stopped trying to feel what he felt. No, he appeared tone sincere. No guile, only teasing there. Wait...the teasing...was it because he may be attracted to her?

"I'm serious," Keera explained. "I wish to know love the way Jeass does, not just for pleasure. Don't get me wrong, pleasure is good..." She trailed off. Gods! I'm talking in circles. Somebody put me out of my misery. She remembered too late he'd know all those thoughts like she spoke them aloud.

I won't put you out of my misery. He said in her mind grinning . "Its nice when Rueben and Jeassaho are together and not hurt and angry... All pinks and light purples." He said describing emotions in colours.

Keera laughed, "I'm going to stop thinking now." Catching his concept of the colors, she responded, "I never thought of it that way: in colors." She grinned, "Okay, Mr. Mindreader, describe me in color."

"Red...Only way I could. Excitement, passion and sometimes aggression." He said with a smile as his arms rested on the back of the couch. "You can never stop thinking. It is impossible."

She had to admit, it was an accurate description of her. Only, how did Leiddem view those qualities? He was going to know these thoughts anyway, so she may as well say it.

"Is red a good color for you?" she continued to inquire.

"I'm more blue..." He said grinning. "What about Jeassaho... She is coming here for you." He reminded her gently. It wasn't that he didn't want to carry on flirting but this woman for now was involved with his baby sister.

This time, she was able to pick up his feelings. Her face reddened again, knowing he truly was flirting. At least she knew he was attracted to her, as she was him. That made her feel better; some of the butterflies fluttered away. She disregarded the statement about Jeassaho, since their relationship was one with no commitment. They were lovers, fulfilling each other's passion. They both knew each would be there for the other, but their relationship wasn't meant to be the primary one.

"That's not what I meant, Mr. Mindreader," Keera insisted with a smirk. "I meant, do you like red people?"

"Don't ignore my little sister!" He teased her. The relationship between Jeassaho and Keera might just be physical but it was a thread that Jeassaho was obviously clinging to at the moment.

"Oh, I don't ignore her," Keera shot back with a laugh. "She's kind of hard to ignore. Now, stop avoiding my question, Mr. Mindreader."

"Of course... we'd make beautiful purple." He grinned ruggedly at her knowing she had no idea what purple could mean.

Keera took that as a sign he was interested. But it would be awkward; she understood why he was hinting at waiting until Jeass hooked back up with Reuben. She was doing the right thing in bringing Jeass here. Jeass needed this; she needed Reuben. Just as Keera needed a man. And she had a pretty good idea who she'd like that man to be. She would like to make purple with Leiddem.

He grinned and lent forward brushing a kiss to her temple. "Jeassaho comes first here... we are here for her first. I don't want my sister broken again." He said showing her the pain of it.

She felt what she would have felt if it had been one of her sisters. Inwardly, she wondered if any of them had escaped Kark. She hoped they were free, free to live and love.

"I understand, Leiddem," she responded. "Jeass is important to me. I wish to see her happy." He smiled and shook his head. it was nice being able to share feelings with someone again. He had tried to talk to the other Betazoid on-board but he had been blown off.

"Good so it's settled." He said gently stroking a piece of hair out of her face.

He seemed gentle and caring, which attracted Keera to him more. It might be settled for now, but the longer it took to bring Jeass aboard, Keera felt she'd feel a yearning to be with Leiddem. She reached up and took the hand that gently stroked her hair.

"It's settled," she agreed.

"You will just have to get Jeassaho here quicker then." He said reading her thoughts clearly. It will be worth it He was teasing her he knew but it was fun. She was fun and he felt despite the strangeness of his sister having been with this woman it was an intoxicating prospect.

Keera smiled and winked at him. "Hopefully, it will be soon."

This man was escalating her desires for him. His playful teasing was doing its job, heightening her interest. "I will try to get a message to her quickly." The man nodded and rose from the couch. He needed to sleep and to find some food especially as he had missed the food out on the station.

Keera lifted her knees up to her chin as she remained on the couch. Hugging her legs, she allowed to imagine what being with Leiddem would be like. Obviously, in some ways it would be like being with Jeass. The man would know just what to do to bring instant pleasure. Obviously, in some ways it would be enhanced as Leiddem was fully a man and better equipped to please. Keera grinned as she watched him leave, blowing him a kiss over her knees.

Leiddem grinned and winked as his parting shot as he left the former Starfleet Marine alone with her thoughts. Never far away He promised.
