ON:

Braden had a memo to report to the same room he was questioned in and to question... Jeassaho? What? She was the damage control officer who thought he was an arrogant dumbass? Did the Captain just really like to see his crew at each others throats? This was insane. He was still pissed off about his own questioning by the Captain and now he was to question the woman he followed into the blaze to save the ship. So be it. Orders were orders after all. He went to the room and entered and stopped "What are you doing here?" Braden was looking at the Security Chief Robertson? Certainly he was not being asked to work with this guy?

Micheal was starting to get frustrated. He had been investigating one crewmember after another for the better part of two days. So far, thankfully, none of them seemed either responsible, or possess any information that he was looking for. Though he still had a long list of people to talk to, he was actually starting to think that it wasn't a member of the crew at all. He would speak to the Captain about his suspicions later today. For now, he had to talk to Jeassaho.

His thoughts were interrupted, when the interrogation room door slid open, and the Science Chief waljed in, a look of disgust clearly evident on his face. Sighing softly, Micheal looked over and replied. "Look, MacCloud, as Chief of Security, it's my job to be here. Secondly, I know you don't like me. Truthfully, I couldn't care less if you did. Personally, I've got no beef with you. We both want this ship and crew to be safe, so let's just leave it at that, yeah?"

MacCloud wanted to leave but orders were orders. He sat down "You want to make the ship and crew safer then the best way to do that is get in your shuttle and leave. When you get to the other side of the Galaxy I would feel safer. Just so you are clear as well, if you did like me I would be insulted. If you are questioning crew then I can see why I am here. Somebody needs to protect the crew."

Micheal let the vicious insults go. Clearly, the Science Chief had an enormous chip on his shoulder. Micheal refused to lower himself to the same level. Before he could respond, the doors slid open and Jeassaho entered.

The door opened and MacCloud groaned, it was none other then the one crew person who liked him as little as the security Chief did. He stood "Hello Ms. Kea. As ridiculous as it sounds we have to ask you a few questions concerning the sabotage to the ship. Please take a seat."

"Expected to say the least. Not at all ridiculous." Jeassaho was under no illusion about the process of a security investigation, everyone was under suspicion until proven innocent. The woman strode in wearing her usual overall looking as usual perfectly at ease.

MacCloud sighed "So where were you between 2400hrs and 0300hrs the night of the sabotage. Also can anyone vouch for your being where you say you were?" Might as well get this over with, He had seen her fight the fire, hell he had been right beside her. If she had been responsible the ship would be a floating tomb right now.

"That is easy. I was in my quarters with Amelia Harkness." She said simply not at all shy about telling the two men about who and what she had been doing.

Braden nodded "well that solves that big mystery. His sarcasm aimed at Robertson. Now then when was the last time you were in the cargo bay before risking your life rushing into the cargo bay to save the ship." Braden was all for getting this nonsense over with as quickly as possible.

"Big Mystery?" Jeassaho wondered looking at the two men instantly seeing the reluctance and annoyance between them.

Micheal merely shrugged, acting as if he had no idea what the Science officer was reffering to either. "Answer the question please," he stated in a calm, nonthreatening, voice.

"I don't think i've ever been in there. I've been underneath on the moveable floor checking and trying to repair it but i don't think i've been in that cargo hold as there are so many of them." She shrugged thoughtfully returning to the question that had been asked.

"During the past few weeks, have you noticed anyone acting..unusual, in any way? Nervous, short tempered, distracted, maybe?" Micheal watched Jeassaho's eyes and body language as he asked the questions. If he was asked to, he'd already rule out the entire crew. None of them seemed, in any way, desirous to harm their shipmates or damage the ship in any way. Unfortunately, in a proper investigation, you had to eliminate the obvious first, before one could delve more deeply into the less than obvious.

"Only that Field Medic or whatever they call them on here. She's nervous enough for the whole crew." She muttered thinking to why Barton Harkins thought of all the random names for positions but then again she had always thought his mind addled by the drugs he had used. Why Rueben had put up with him or risked everything for the man she had no idea.

Braden burst out laughing at the mention of Bettina being suspicious. Hell he would be nervous around this bunch if he was not confident he could defend himself. His friend Ms. Davies was not a fighter, he would be concerned if she was not nervous. "So of all the people aboard the nervous nurse is your only question mark?"

"I guess so," Jeassaho said keeping a straight face as she saw the man jumping to the woman's defense. For his sake he hoped she wasn't the bomber.

"If you are asking questions. Can i ask ones back?" Jeassaho wondered looking at the two men.

Braden nodded "be my guest, ask away Ms. Kea."

"You can call me Jeassaho...Why do both of you have chips on your shoulders?" She demanded looking all pleasant as she asked it. She knew it was a killer question but she was fed up of the atmosphere and as far as she was aware both of these men had been on board two weeks in the Science Chiefs case and five days in Micheal's neither in her opinion had, had time to grow a grudge against the other.

Micheal glanced at Braden, then looked back at Jeassaho. "Well, myself, personally, I have no issue here. However, it seems that Mister MacCloud has had an issue with me since the brawl down in the mess, the other day." His voice and expression were both calm and nonthreatening as he spoke.

"Anyone who risks escalating a bar fight by firing a phaser among the brawlers is unsafe to be around. I value safety as it is a hard won commodity. I do not like him because just his presence and attitude makes this ship less safe." Braden spoke softly as if telling Jeassaho a secret. He also knew something else about the cowboy, he was a damn convincing liar. He was never putting his back to that guy. His voice became conversational once more as he added. "I have been in bars before where someone decided to pacify the crowd. One thing I have observed is the person who raises the violence bar seldom gets hurt. That person also never sees the carnage he started as his fault. You do not even have to ask him, look at his face and he still feels he was right. He does not even understand how lucky he was."

Jeassaho looked at the pair and rolled her eyes. They were both as bad as the other in her opinion. "Well aren't you two a bundle of laughs." She commented on sitting back in her chair crossing her legs. "So am I done? Am I going to the brig?" She asked giving them both a smile.

"I don't even understand why you were here to be questioned? Then I am not the one who would be putting you in the brig either. You will need to hear what Security has to say I guess." Braden shrugged he felt he was a decent judge of character and even though she disliked him he was pretty sure Jeassaho was someone who would have your back in a pinch. During the fire she had been right there, there had been no duplicity in her eyes then. He was as sure she had nothing to do with it as he was sure Bettina did not. He suspected someone in the wedding party but he did not have enough information to press that idea. He was sure none of the people in the crew had been involved.

Jeassaho looked at the man and shook her head. "I completely understand. It is standard investigation procedures, Starfleet or Civilian." She had spent three years with Rueben to know his processes and how he worked. He wouldn't have been her man if hadn't done it. He had shown her just how respectful he was by not doing her interview and putting her in that position.

Micheal deactivated his PADD and sat back. "Well, to be honest, I've heard all that I need to hear. I am convinced that you are innocent of this situation. Thank you for your patience and understanding during all this." He raised his hands to the sky briefly as he spoke. "You're free to go."
