They have an unspoken agreement between them both that neither even acknowledges when it is mentioned by others. She does not use his title of CEO and he does not belittle her for being so low in the cogs of the corporation. He doesn't expect her to be something she is not and she does not ask why he visits her lab so frequently where there are so many other places he could escape to. He offers no explanation. He just comes to her at any hour, any day and sits there at her console being in the way.

Sometimes he's silent, just observing her at work as if it is the most interesting thing, he had seen in all his years. Whilst other times he is full of pent up energy usually when he has been in his office for days on end working on the conundrum that is forever bothering him. She never knows how he will act, and she prefers it that way, she wants something less mundane. Her lab work, though she'd never admit it, can be lonely with only assistants that come in every now and then. Even if his presence is annoying, she likes the unpredictable company even if it can be in the way and silent.

The human lab technician looked up as the alarms sounded from the console opposite where she was bent over and frowned. With everything being accelerated, instabilities kept occurring and this was proof of the matter as the computer alerted that that newest batch that was being pressed into service only a fraction of the usual training, so the death rate would only get higher and the accident rate would increase.

The intelligence levels of the miners were raging from idiotic to genius whilst physical deformities were occurring more and more even some cases of mental instabilities like the one who had been arrested just last night in the miner’s lounge after creating such a scene that the colony security forces were involved and the corporation had some explaining to do. But no one seemed to want to listen other than him and even then, he laughed her thoughts off with a ‘do not worry’. No one wanted to listen to a lab technician despite her being the one to monitor the feeds whilst they got to enjoy the labours and credit.

She kept glancing at the feeds and frowned as she saw the last order for the latest batch. What was SS Mary Rose and why would one of the Miners want with them? She needed to call someone but as she turned, she saw him and offered a smile. She didn’t notice until it was too late the phaser in his hand.

“I am really sorry to do this but you should have not been so diligent.” He sighed and pointed it at her firing. She was dead before she even hit the floor. The man frowned and moved over to the feed information and smirked as he saw an error on the console before he deleted it. No one else needed to know, after all, everything was how it should be after all. "Goodbye, Alicia."He glanced down at the body well apart from her, he realised almost sadly leaving the room. A cleaning crew would fix the issue easy enough.
