Discussions over the three stooges

Rueben sat in the wardroom enjoying his coffee in a different location that normally where he had the evening meal. He looked at the pair who he had called into the Ward Room and indicated the comfortable looking seats on the ship. "You should sit this will be a lengthy discussion."

Micheal indicated that Alika should sit first, then he lowered himself into the comfortable chair next to her. "What's up, Boss?" He asked with genuine curiosity.

"Everyone's attitude, that's what." Now that their interviews were over, Alika had herself tucked into one of the 'comfier' seats in the Ward Room, adopting her trademark frown and gaze, which disapproved of the conversation topic. "We've definitely got our work cut out for us."

Rueben waited until the pair were sat down before he handed them both PADD's. It had information about three crew members that needed to be arrested and put in the Brig until the investigation and searches were over with. "Their interviews were shocking. I looked at the transcripts of all their interviews and they couldn't answer a single question without a 'maybe' or a 'perhaps'." He sighed thinking of the interview he had conducted out of the three, shaking his head.

Alika snorted in agreement. "They were belligerent about it, too. One of 'em looked like she had something to hide, and there's no way of telling if she was where she said she was with the information she gave us."

As Micheal picked up the PADD, he asked, "Who are the three?"

"Bettina Davies, one of the nurse." Rueben started to explain about the Nurse, Engineer and one system operator. "So you can see why there are some issues. These people are just used to ships that have a lot more technology, they've forgotten that places exist without it." Rueben couldn't believe how some of the people reacted in interviews, they assumed far too much.

"Doesn't sit well that one of 'em's an engineer," Alika pointed out. "He should know that there's a 'downgrade' in how the systems work around here. Could just be taking it all for granted, but without a whole lot of answers, narrowing people down could be tough."

"That is why we arrest all three on suspicion," Rueben said simply, the crew took far too much for granted and a few of them were far too immature and needed a reminder of what order and compliance meant on a civilian ship as they were not a military organisation like Starfleet or planet based groups, they had to know they could rely on everyone on the ship. "The guests are all going to be taken to the mess hall and the senior officers are going to search

Micheal frowned slightly. "Perhaps, it would be better to say they are being held on suspicion, as opposed to arrest? The phrasing we use could cause unnecessary friction on the ship."

"Suites me either way as long as they are out of the ship's company to let us search the ship," Rueben said simply. He wanted these three held somewhere secure until the ship was searched fully and they could either be passed on the Federation for bombing the ship or freed.

Micheal nodded. "Alright, Boss. I'll make sure they are all in the brig before the day is over. Once they are secured, I will personally search their cabins first."
