The woman sat down and took a super long sip of her honey wine before she put the large glass down watching the amber liquid. She massaged her temples for a few seconds before realising she just needed a moment to herself to get the jumbled thoughts out of her mind and the only way that she knew how was to do a personal log.
“Computer start log. Startdate….” She paused as she realised she did not know the date other than it was roughly the Christmas holidays. Dates had been a problem for the last few weeks since the empathic virus on New Rixx. Maybe it was a side effect from her increase in medicine to balancing her back out or whatever but she was finding herself losing track of days. The computer was the one keeping her on track at the moment.
Maybe she needed her holiday on Starbase 47 more than she had thought. Even if she had to deal with Lancaster, Winter and the chaos that they brought to her desk recently. She would not be a welcome visitor for one of them and the other could kiss her ass after what he had done. He was just lucky she had a soft spot for Lancaster and the Joint Fleet Command did not want not a scene out here for the Klingons or Romulans to fuss over.
“That does not matter I guess. Time has become irrelevant over the last few days as me and Commander Mitchell investigate the ongoing mystery that is Lieutenant Alexis Agrax and the report that was put into Starfleet Command over her behaviour in the newest crisis that we have faced.” She sighed. It was a frustrating mystery that she wished Agrax would reveal more about the restricted access part of her file but they had gotten nowhere with that conversation. Either she was sworn to secrecy or she really did not remember due to trauma. “ she claims to not know what we are talking about. She is a frustrating member of my species and so stubborn that I sometimes wonder how she has gotten so far in Starfleet. It does not suit her at all, it isolates her from the other senior officers despite the rumours on the ship about her. But it will not defeat us. Commander Mitchell quite potentially matches her stubbornness in his determination to find out what is going on. He is an honourable soul and I am relieved that he is on my side.”
Ledeya sighed and shook her head taking another long sip of the honey wine. It was deliciously sweet and burning down her throat to her stomach as her badge beeped from her desk. “Computer end recording.”
She clicked to activate it. “Ehestri here.”
“Commodore I am sorry to interrupt your holiday on the base but we have had a request for Starfleet Headquarters to deal with a little problem.” Ledeya sighed at the male voice that sounded like he had lost a bet and had been forced to contact her.
It seemed even on Starbase 47 she could not hide.
