Indigo was nervous even as her hands flew over the console she was using. She was never nervous but the last few days had made her nervous especially as they were on a limit and trying to play catch up to a ship that was seven days away. Ferengi Commerce Authority or the Ferengi fundamentalists were no small fry and the ship had no idea what it was taking on. The ship was so quiet as everyone was getting down to business and trying to not think about the crew that had helped them out and some of them considered friends or more.

Though it was normal for him to work in silence, right now Taev's concentration was deadly quiet. There was not only the question of a debt of honor to the Mary Rose, there was Liha - he might refuse to do anything as unRomulan as admit real feelings even to crewmates, but he did care about her. Worse, he knew her well enough to know she'd chose death before being taken by pirates and from what Indigo has ascertained her ship was seriously over matched.

"You're both very quiet. I'm not sure whether to thank the stars or expect a knife in my back," Kaylin noted, glancing over at Taev in particular. If anyone was even remotely that way inclined it would be him. But her remark was more humour than accusation. "How long until we intercept?"

Indigo glanced at Kaylin but said nothing returning to the screen. She knew the woman was trying to be a bit lighter but it was not overly helping the mood. “I think I have them.” Indigo suddenly announced, breaking the silence in her usual way of a bubble of emotions and noise.

"Good. Is the cloak functional? It would be a shame to see them flee before we rain plasma torpedoes all over their hull," Kaylin replied.

"Cloak is ready," Taev reported, hand hovering over the controls. "Weapons solutions calculated to take out their engines and weapons," a vicious smile creased his face, "or just blow them to Areinnye."

Indigo opened her mouth a few times before closing it before the thought finally slipped out. "Can we teleport onto the Mary Rose? I would like to help them if I can before we trap the bad guys on the ship." She admitted thinking they would be outmatched by the pirates if they were not already.

"One step at a time," Kaylin responded. She was a cautious commander by habit; leave nothing to chance and fate would be less likely to screw you over. "How many of them are aboard the Mary Rose?" she asked.

"Hard to tell so let me go over," Indigo murmured pulling on her fake big smile and wide eyes. "I'll climb about. Knock a few of them about and allow you guys to rescue the bridge and be the hero." It seemed like a big win for them whilst she did all the work but she really did not mind just wanted to get over and rescue her friends. They needed more people like them in the universe.

"Let's talk first," Kaylin replied. She cleared her throat. "This is Captain Kaylin Jaal of the FRS Thrai. I have a pair of plasma torpedoes locked on your vessel's drive core. Your presence on board an allied ship is unwelcome. Leave now." There was the briefest pause where one might have been able to hear the Romulan commander's smirk. "I do so urge you to challenge my patience."

"You are outside of your jurisdiction Jaal. You have no rights here-" The retort from whoever was on the other end was sharply cut off by sounds of violence.

"Thanks for the diversion, Thrai. The bridge is clear, but we still have borders to clean up if you want to join in the fun." The familiar voice of Liha came back. Kaylin's lips thinned into a curl.

The comm crackled back. "Thanks for the diversion, Thrai. The bridge is clear, but we still have boarders to clean up if you want to join in the fun...After shutting down that pirate's drive, of course."

"Reinforcements are already on the way, Mary Rose. Leave the marauder to us," Kaylin replied. She glanced over at Indigo. "Looks like you've got your permission. Let's blow that marauder a few holes in the meantime."

"With pleasure." Taev hit the weapons controls, sending a volley of torpedoes to targetted hits on the pirate's engines and weapons.

"I was going either way," Indigo said as she disappeared from the Bridge. She had things to do and people to help, she would let them have their fun whilst she took out a few of her frustrations on people over on the other ship.

"Hold up, I'm coming with you," Taev said in a tone that brooked no objection. Liha had obviously had things on the bridge in hand, but he wasn't going to miss a chance to fight alongside her again to clear the rest of the ship.

Indigo turned and gave him a look but held the lift door open for the man. "You know I am fully capable of doing this alone you know." Indigo murmured as the turbo lift door closed leaving the pair alone.

Taev shrugged. "Liha is probably fully capable of taking out whoever's left over there without either of us," he noted with a grin. "But I still want to go over and see where we can help."

Indigo just rolled her eyes at the man finally understanding why he wanted to come alone. One day Liha was going to break him and he was still have the ridiculous grin on his face still. “Fine whatever. You go to bridge I’ll go elsewhere.” She murmured already thinking of where she wanted to check out.

"You can't stand the idea of having back up, can you?" Taev chuckled. Did all humanoids struggle with inferiority complexes? Not that he could blame them for it really, especially the ones who worked with Romulans. "But I'll go help hold the bridge so you can prove ...whatever it is you need to prove to yourself. Comm if you need me."

“No I do not need back up. Very different concepts.” Indigo assured as they arrived at the small transporter room. “Send me first please.” She did not use the word please often with so many Romulans around it seem redundant unless she was being a sourpuss and proving a point.

Taev tipped his head in a 'go ahead' to the transport operator. He shook it slightly as Indigo dematerialized. She wasn't his favorite person on the ship, but he didn't think she was incapable or any less than competent - except when she pulled stuff like this. But then he had been Galae security trained and while it was held that every Galae could be a force of one, there was a deeply ingrained Romulan mindset that not taking every possible advantage was just stupid. "Right," he said stepping up on the transport pad. "Drop me on the bridge."
