Attaching the Leash

Mission: Mission 14: Holoworld
Location: ISS Fenrir
Timeline: Whenever
1022 words - 2 OF Standard Post Measure

The Empress had given her instruction. The promise of reward, the threat of failure, both were clear in Jake's mind. His purpose was set.

The security section of the ISS Fenrir was well-stocked, especially since it also housed most of the agony booths on board. He'd use them if he had to, but that was unlikely. He had a reasonable number of loyal men on hand, and he had the direct word of the Empress herself behind him.

He remained seated at the large desk that dominated the room, a clear statement of power and authority. As the doors opened to permit the entry of his first 'victim' he realised just how much he was going to relish this task.

Alexis was dragged in by two officers who looked just as bloodied and beaten as Alexis looked. Several words that came out of her mouth were not able to be translated but it was easy to see just how angry she was and the anger did not fade as she was confronted by Jake. Selina followed behind with the usual grace and composure, unlike her colleague. Selina just looked at the collars and shook her head. It had only been a matter of time.

"Welcome," he announced, his mouth almost watering at the thought of muzzling the Butcher's hounds. "Come forward. Don't be shy. It'll be over quickly, I promise."

"I want to watch you sort Agrax out first," Selina said smirking as she picked up a collar testing the weight of it before she shook her head. She knew this order came from higher than even Gregnol could control but this was silly. They could have made the device almost invisible but no they wanted to make it known.

"What you want doesn't matter." Jake motioned to his men, who grabbed Selina by the arms and moved her forward forcibly. "I want Agrax to watch, first. Let her see what awaits her." He wasn't going to do it himself; the men under his command would carry out the task while he watched, and savoured the expressions on the womens' faces as their power was restrained.

"She won't give a crap," Selina said simply as she stood there just staring him down. She had no issue with accepting the empress' choice as it could only come from her but Alexis was no always prone to being in the here and now.

Jake leaned across the desk and licked his lips as Fenruse was forced to her knees and the collar roughly attached and locked. As soon as it was in place he locked eyes with Agrax, watching to see her facial contortions at the thought of what awaited her, too.

"Check it is working. Then remove her from our presence," he motioned to the men, who almost dragged Selina back to her feet and prepared to walk her out.

As the man roughly grabbed Selina Alexis turned to look at Jake and hit out at the person holding her. They always underestimated her and the fact she had been their boss once upon a time until she stood on Betazoid watching as it burned. "Alexis... Do not do it." Selina said quickly as she saw the look on the woman's face as the remaining person's face went blank and he went for his dagger. Alexis looked at Selina and despite no telepathy, a look between them spoke so much more than words ever could.

Jake didn't move immediately from his position opposite. Instead he watched to see if Alexis would do it; whether she would give him the cause he needed to throw her in an agony booth and forget about her for a few hours.

"They cannot kill you BUT they can make it worse for you." Selina reminded simply as the man who came to his senses and realised he had been puppeted made a move to use the dagger on Alexis. "You can get your revenge another day." Alexis would get the revenge, Selina was beyond sure of that. No one ever got away with doing something to her without revenge.

Jake's face twisted into a smirk as she relented. He would win either way. He gave a hand motion for the battered security men to carry out their instructions.

Alexis just stood there as they put the collar on her and led her out. "I was not doing it for your pleasure..." Selina said simply as she looked at Ford. "She could have killed everyone in this room without blinking." She hissed shaking her head at the man and his foolishness.

"Then she should have while she could. Now? She'll sit, beg, and roll over as her betters command," he retorted. "Run along, inquisitor. Or do I need to throw a stick for you to chase?"

Selina just looked at the man and laughed. "She does not have enough sanity to do that. I hope you end up in my box instead of hers Ford. She might not have so much control." The woman smirked and walked away still graceful and unashamed of anything that had happened. The last security officer looked up as the door closed.

"Do you really think she would have killed everyone Sir? I've heard things about her and the executive officer." He wondered not looking worried just shocked at the scene that had happened.

"Oh I have no doubt she would have tried," Jake replied with a knowing smirk. He lifted the phaser he had stashed under his desk and placed it back down. "I'm almost disappointed she didn't. Believe me, Ensign...Betazoid women are like a wild horse. They might seem intimidating at first, but once you break their spirit..." His eyes twinkled at the prospect. "You may go."

The man was not so convinced at all as he looked at the mark on his hand and the chip in his hand that he could not remember what it belonged to at all. It was a confusing moment to him but he was not going to admit anything aloud. "Sir." The officer said as he quickly escaped the gaze of the man.
