Reessem sighed as she stretched out a little. She was using Rueben’s office as a research center, paper was scattered in piles, PaDDs tossed haphazardly everywhere as she went through all the records on the ship. She had just about managed to go through some of the files that had been found in secretive hold they had found a few days back.
“You found anymore files in the system?” She whispered, wishing Keera or one of the other ex-Starfleet Intelligent sorts were awake to hack better into the ships past. It was like a whole two decades were still missing and it was those two decades that were connected to what ever it was they had discovered in the secretive hold or the grotto as Rueben had referred to it before he had slipped into a coma.
"Not quite yet," Humili muttered, rifling through the small pile of PaDDs she had categorized into tiny piles. "I'm expecting that what the Collector was attempting to hide did so very well. Or, well enough for us types to not locate it."
Arrhae entered the office with her Romulan disruptor in hand. Her jaw was clenched and she was ready for a fight, what she wasn't ready for was the mess and clutter by the current occupants of the office.
"By order of the Master of Arms stop what you are doing and hold still!" said the Romulan woman setting her weapon to a wide-dispersal beam.
Humili leaned over at the Romulan, voice placid, as if the sight of a firearm didn't phase her. "I'm not sure if you've heard, but we've got a sickness on our hands. How about you put the gun down and help us find the solution to our issue preferably before the ill members of the crew die?"
"Forgiveness, we got an alarm going off something about unauthorized computer access. Came to investigate only to find that you are here, wait, have you been trying to access something you can't? Move over, I'm good at this sort of thing."
The Romulan walked right over to the terminal on the desk and activated a small wrist-mounted device. From it she pulled a cord from it and placed it on the side of the archaic terminal and waited for the cord that was still connected to her mini-terminal light up indicating that it was working.
Coming into the room as he was told too prior, Raza merely looked around and saw the state of the office. "Well....Looks like a tornado came through here but since we are in space that's impossible. Whats going on?" Raza asked curiously as he couldn't believe one person caused so much destruction.
On atop of her toes Stardust looked over Raza's shoulder in to the room. She offered an grin as she kept her laugh to herself after hearing Raza's statement. However, she was there to lend some sort of hand.
"Uh ummm, can someone clue me in what purrrcisely this Collector collected?" asked the cait "Maybe there is a clue in the stuff he collected or purrrhaps an hidden password for the computer?"
Reessem looked at the Caitian confused. "You haven't seen the Grotto?" the teenager asked in clear confusion. She had assumed everyone had seen the stash of equipment and treasures.
"The grotto has just been placed on lock-down, biometric scanners are being installed, once Captain Rueban is awake he will seal off the room and select those that he deems worthy of having access;" said the Romulan woman from the terminal that she was hacking.
"We're merely trying to find the source of the illness, and why it has spread in such a manner." Gesturing to the Saurian and Caitian to both sit down and take a PaDD, Humili shook her head. "Though I should point out that since the Grotto is likely where the pathogen was released from, putting it on complete lockdown while the rest of the crew is ill seems counterproductive. Especially if we've determined our immunity."
"Ah I see" returned Stardust.
"Everyone relax. It's not like there are many of us awake." Reessem agreed with Humili, they were immune and needed access to it to explore the possible cure in there. She shook her head a she continued to scan through her Padd's. "Maybe we can try passwords in these files?" Reessem suggested once things calmed down.
Arrhae tried a few decryption algorithms that she knew and was able to access a minor portion of the data. She then uploaded a virus on a copied code in a RAM file and the Romulan woman smiled.
A man burst to life on the screen above the group. He was older than most people had ever seen with waxy skin. He looked ill, coughing and wheezing “They will never find my stash… never in a million eons would someone thing to look in a space that I made my Engineer completely strip out. They are going to walk past it everyday and never see my collection of beautiful and deadly things. If they do it will be there funeral. I hope they almost do find it because they will never be able to enjoy it.” He chuckled again which started off another coughing fit as the group watched intently the former owner of the ship.
