“We have finally arrived at Bajor after very little drama and a very boring trip from our last supply point. What the crew haven’t realised yet is I am letting them have shore leave while I conduct some business of my own on the planet’s surface. I believe the Shore leave will allow them all to re-center themselves after the virus that nearly killed us all and perhaps let some of the wounds that it created to heal.
It was discovered while researching some of the items in the Grotto that there are books by Trakor, one of the spiritual writers of the Bajoran religion according to my historian friend and the "prophecies" they seem to be fond of. I have arranged to return them to the Provisional Government on the understanding of the reward being enough to fuel the ship for a few months to allow us to take on some better jobs, some medical supplies to stop Mott complaining about the standards he has to work in… well if he stays. I don’t believe our stowaway will stay once he has the chance to leave but we shall see, people have the ability to shock and surprise me.
The only other “reward” that I have asked for in return for the books is the fact it stays between us. They have assured me that they will to never release the ships name or any of my crew or myself for that matter as I am still classed as dead or at the very least missing in action. I very much intend to stay that way for a little bit longer before I rise from the dead and maybe get a chance to rebuild my life. I need to get more information about the people who let me stay dead before I can do that but for now I am happy with the way Rosie is running, happy with the crew, for the first time in three years things are calm and quiet. I just hope I haven’t spoken to soon.
