Lysina Chawat had just finished a shift on the bridge managing the communications station. Her expertise in languages uniquely qualified her to man the station. She was fluent in many languages and could get through a short conversation in several others. Languages she didn't know, she picked up quickly, understanding the structures of most languages and the semantics of speech. She had become a valuable asset to Reuben since joining the crew.

She had walked the corridors to her quarters, when she thought she saw another familiar face from her past, exiting the quarters next to hers. She thought a younger girl had been quartering there. However, Lysina was quite certain she recognized Jeassaho Kea leaving the suite.

Running up to her she grabbed and hugged the woman, catching her by surprise. "Jeassaho? It is you, isn't it? I wondered how long it would be before you showed up here." Jeassaho jumped as she was tugged into a big hug. She frowned confused by the voice before she realised it was a Crewman she had known on the Victory.

"Lysina right?" Jeassaho said enjoying the cuddle.

Lysina stepped back to get a good look at Jeassaho. The last time she had seen her, Jeassaho was still critical. Lysina was sad to leave her, but her new career with the ambassador had begun. She had to depart the ship with the ambassador. Lysina had hoped a speedy recovery for her friend.

"You look much better than the last time I saw you," Lysina affirmed. "I wondered after I told Reuben of everything you went through, how long it would take him to get you here."

"You told him?" The older woman breathed softly as Lysina look her in inch by inch. The woman was happy to see her.

"Yes, I did," Lysina boldly responded. "I tried to eat him to pulp while doing it. If I were as strong as a man, I'd have done it." Bolians were usually the kind and gentle sort. For Lysina to admit that she became aggressive, meant she was really angry with Reuben when it happened.

"Me and Rueben its complicated." Jeassaho said by explanation of why she was living in these quarters.

"I thought someone else was being quartered here," Lysina thought out loud. "I understand about Reuben. I wasn't sure if I could fully trust him until I seen you. He called for you. He must really be remorseful."

Jeassaho looked at the door she had come out of and smiled. "They are. I am staying with them no matter what has happened between me and Rueben he is trustworthy. He is that solid man in a storm that everyone should have." Jeassaho said fondly, his father had raised him raised to be a good man in a storm. Raised to love Starfleet and Earth. Love his family. Protect the things he loved.

"I'm glad you're here," Lysina expressed. "Maybe things can get back to the way they were. You guys seemed so in love ." Jeassaho sighed, things could never go back to how they were.

"I don't know if that is possible." She admitted softly.

Lysina frowned. "Why not?" Lysina asked. For her, Jeassaho and Reuben pointed to a day when everything was right for her. She needed that promise once again in her life. Being out here and on the run was scary on your own. Hopefully, now she had a core group of friends again. Reuben and Jeassaho had to get back together.

"Because it has been three years... You were there a lot has happened." Jeassaho said softly. She could feel the Bolian thriving with the thought that her and Rueben can turn back the clock like that.

If she wasn't getting back with Reuben, why was Jeassaho here? Lysina was trying to compute that in her mind. Certainly, if Reuben did to her what he did to Jeassaho, Lysina wouldn't be in the same place as him unless there was a deep remorse. She thought she had seen that in Reuben. It didn't seem that Jeassaho was ready to accept that.

She took Jeassaho by the hands. "You've been through a lot. So have I. It's good to have a friend for support," Lysina explained. "If you need me, I'm here."

Jeassaho sighed and looked at the blue hands on her pale hands. "I didn't know he was here. I came because Keera was here."

Lysina didn't fully understand the situation. She hadn't rely met Keera yet, even though they quartered next to each other. It seemed when Lysina was in, Keera was out. When Lysina was active in the ship, she never saw Keera. It seemed Keera operated in the shadows. Because of this, Lysina stayed away, not knowing to trust her.

"This Keera is your friend?" Lysina inquired. If that were true, she must be trustworthy.

"She's more than a friend." Jeassaho admitted softly. She had no qualms about admitting things like that, she was open.

"Oh," Lysina responded before her mind computed the words. In the next second, her mind understood, she continued, "Oooooh! More than a friend! Well, we'll have to get together sometime." It didn't bother Lysina that Jeassaho and Keera were lovers. She just never thought of Jeassaho as having affections for females. So strong was her bond with Reuben when she had known them, Lysina always pictured her with a man. That man was always Reuben.

"Yeah..." Jeassaho smiled and pulled back her hands looking at her smiling more now. "I thought that to but things change. That bond was broken when we were separated."

Lysina's attention soon turned to the meaning of Jeass' presence. Engineering would receive a huge boost. Jeassaho's knowledge of systems and workhorse mentality would certainly aid those who have been working hard on the ship's systems.

"I'm sure that you'll be an asset to us," Lysina suggested. Jeassaho laughed.

"We shall see." Jeassaho said with a smile. "I'm going to talk to the Captain now." She admitted rubbing her neck nervously.

Lysina chuckled. It was hard for her to see Jeass and Reuben on the same ship and not be a couple. They were inseparable in the past. At least Lysina had another person she knew she could trust.

"I'm sure Reuben can't wait to see you alone," Lysina said with a slight tease. Jeassaho didn't react to the teasing. She was too nervous to react.

"Well..." It was all she could say. The last time they had been alone an argument had happened.

Lysina couldn't fully understand her nervousness. Jeassaho was more than qualified to be an engineer aboard this rickety old ship. The only thing that Lysina could figure that may have caused the jitters was there broken relationship. It appeared Jeassaho moved on, but Reuben didn't.

Lysina gave her another hug. "You'll be fine," she whispered as she stepped back. "It's almost like old times," Lysina answered with a grin.

"I'm not worried about the ship... it's him... Chatty last time we were alone we argued and we both said stupid things and then the shuttle happened." The former officer whispered.

"It's my understanding," Lysina sincerely vocalized, "that happens in relationships. I know the timing stunk a bad as following a Bolian to the head, but I believe you two to be adults and professionals. You will work through this for the best benefit for both of you."

"I... I... don't know how. I thought him dead, its like i'm dreaming." Jeassaho admitted softly letting her nails dig into her palms to prove that it wasn't a dream. Everything felt like it wasn't real. Lysina understood the dream part. She never thought of herself as a wanted criminal. Yet, here she was, an accused murderer. She believed that fate was on her side. How else would you explain Reuben, and now Jeassaho aboard the same ship as her. Plus, a cute Bolian male was there too. Fate had to be on their side. Perhaps the Great Bird of the universe was watching over her and her friends.

"I understand," Lysina explained. "When I saw Reuben on station, I thought I had seen a ghost. Then, I thought he was sent by Starfleet to capture and return me. But, it's real, and we'll get through this together."

"He wouldn't do that. He has rules. He isn't a ghost..." She assured as she saw the man walking toward them not having taken the pair in as of yet.

Lysina followed Jeassaho's eyes, turning her head to see Reuben approaching. She grinned at Jeassaho and whispered, "I'll let you two discuss business." Lysina walked to the quarters next door, "I'm right next to you. Visit anytime." Turning to Reuben, she acknowledged him before entering her quarters.

"Wait..." But it was too late Rueben had spotted her, his usual solid cold expression breaking into a smile.
