Talon had a full blown war going on within his mind. Should he tell Tabitha that it was Dixie, who had sent the book? What's more, should he show her the inscription inside the front cover? If he told her, how would she react? Was he really protecting her by not telling or was he really protecting Dixie?
He hated keeping something from her. When Tabitha hadn't informed him of her marriage, he became distraught. Now, it was he keeping something from Tabs. It might not be so bad, but besides Tabitha, Talon spent more time with Dixoho than anyone else aboard. He considered her a friend and often used her skills of observation to bounce things off of her.
Since he found out and Dixoho kissed him, Talon had steered clear of the redhead. That night, he had fled her quarters and ran to be with Tabitha. That night, he had poured out all passions toward Tabitha, wishing her to know she was his one and only lady.
But still, in the past week, he felt miserable not telling her. He knew what he must do. He must be truthful; be open and honest. It was the only way to remove the weight of stress from upon his chest. But how does he tell the one he loved that she wasn't the only one contending for his love and affection?
Things were rather "interesting" around the rosy to say the least. Tabitha kept herself busy so as to try and stay clear of the rumor mill. Unfortunately her skill with her hands had limited what she Could do. The ship was basically ready to depart.. So she choose to head to the suite of the person who so thoroughly appreciated her healthy shapely ass,, Play time!!!
Hearing the door to his quarters open, Joss rubbed the ridges of his nose. It was time to have a deep discussion. He dreaded these times. Usually, Talon kept things light and tried to be upbeat. These serious discussions felt like the weight of a Terran elephant bearing down on top of him.
Talon walked over to Tabs and greeted her with a peck on the cheek. He smiled at her as he held her hands and stared into her eyes.
She purred lovingly. But did notice he was being rather reserved in his own home. "Whats wrong Tally?? Am I late??" She wanted to push him on the couch, then mount him, his long torso her perfect match.
"I am so in love with you Tabs," Talon affirmed. "Nothing is wrong there; that's for sure."
He kept her hands in his and lead Tabitha to the couch. Sitting down, he patted the spot next to him, asking her to sit with him. He was anxious, not knowing the results of what he was about to say. How would it effect their relationship. It had already put a damper on his and Dixie's friendship. That was something he didn't want, but now he tended to be jumpy in Dixoho's presence, not sure what to expect. Not sure if she would lock her lips on his again. Talon certainly didn't wish to feel uncomfortable with Tabs, which is why he needed to tell her.
Tabs slide onto his lap with a possessive little look.. Men only acting this way when someone tried to throw wrenching into their business.. He was far to cautious with her..
Hoping it didn't change their relationship, Talon nervously confessed, "I know who gave me the book."
So Someone else was making some kind of angle at him. TOO Damn Bad. She'd already Won. "Thats between the two of you. If that person cares to get into it, I'm already in the stronger position." She pushed into his slender neck, lightly touching it with her lips.
The touch of Tabs' lips on his neck sent a stimulating tingle through him, arousing his desire for his love. Obviously, it didn't concern her to know who the other was. She was right about one thing: She did have him. She had all of him. Talon no longer felt the need to reveal Dixie. He felt relieved, as Joss didn't wish to cause a conflict within the crew.
His body responding to her lips on his neck, Talon ran his hands inside her shirt, feeling her smooth skin. His breathing and heart responding to the stimulation, Talon's lips searched for Tabitha's.
After a fury of kisses, Tabs was More than ready. "Lets try that new Bed of yours." She whimpered longingly.
Talon grinned as the same feeling was being aroused within Tabitha as in him. "You are reading my mind again," he teased. He knew his Tabs was part Betazoid, but wasn't sure how empathic she was.
Although Talon wasn't the strongest of men, Tabitha felt light in his arms as he lifted her off of the couch. Carrying her to his bed, he continued a barrage of kisses to her lips and neck. The burden had been lifted. Tabitha loved him, and he her. Tonight, they would renew this love together. He looked forward to these times, when through their passion, their love would evolve.
Later that Night.....
Rapture,, Sweat, exhaustion.. Love... Tabs collapsed onto Joss having fulfilled their combined desires in a wild climax. She panted and squirmed atop him. This was the best thing she'd had happen to her in nearly a year. Hallelujah!!.
Talon embraced his love, her warm moist body against his. He was getting used to Tabs laying next to him. He was enjoying it. He felt as if he had never known another being as he had her. He knew as long as her husband was out there somewhere, and their marriage wasn't absolved, then a future marriage was out of the question. They loved each other and deserved to be together.
Rolling over to face his Tabs, he gazed into her beautiful eyes. "Would you consider moving into my quarters with me?"
Tabs looked at him quizically, scanning him passively. Her telepathy wasn't the best but her parents had taught her how use it in a stealthy manner. But this she wan't sure about. "I still cry a-lot of nights to sleep... well when I'm alone anyway." She pulled him halfway atop her. "Make me feel secure..." She knew it was an odd request. She was the better combatant and gunner. But waking up in the middle of the night and feeling No alarm was just as important.
Talon swept her hair from her eyes. He softly caressed Tabitha on the cheek. "I will be whatever you need, my Love."
He wrapped his arms about her, wishing he could surround her with himself. He desired for her to feel like he was the walls that protected her city. If she were to awake crying, he'd be there to wipe her tears.
The two of them quietly fell to sleep clinging to each other....
