Mission: Mission 4 - Combustion
613 words - 1.2 OF Standard Post Measure

Nollel had just changed when she heard the Yellow Alert. It had been a long day and she was still getting used to this ship. Her eyes twitched at the speaker rang through her ears "Holy moly, what's going on?!" she asked out loud, clearly startled.

As Amelia stepped out of the VIP quarters, she heard Nollel "Don't worry, love. I'm on my way to figure it out mi-self. But you might want to get dressed, just in case." she said giving a wink.

Looking down, Nollel realized that she was just wearing her silk nightgown "Oh!" she gasped as she grabbed her terrycloth robe and slipped her feet into her flats.

Amelia sighed as she stepped back, running a hand through her hair "Just stay here unless you hear otherwise. The Cap'n will let you know instructions on the speaker. Just stay out and stay calm, all right mate?" She stayed softly as she ran to the turbolift and towards her station on Bridge. If anyone had touched her area, there would be hell to pay. "Guests are freaking out, mates! They need some sort of direction of what to do." She yelled as she neared her station.

"You come in hot like that and you'll get the rest of the Bridge going too," Alika pointed out in a rare display of calm. Seated at the Captain's chair, she had her fingers at work upon the tiny controls on the armrest. ="Engineering, what's the status of the Cargo Bay? Make sure there aren't any guests in there. And get someone from whatever security we have to help you out."=

The sound of a throat clearing echoed across the compartment. =Bridge... this is Engineering. Let's be real, Bridge. You want to know the status of the cargo bay?= The disembodied voice of Draia Theroh rang out from the communication grid panels that encircled the Bridge. Between every couple of words, Draia interrupted herself with her own huffing and puffing, and the clanging sound of tools being unstacked and packed.

Miss Theroh had come aboard as the Mary Rose's chief engineer hardly a week ago, and this was the welcome she was being given. It was all one big cosmic joke, but Draia nearly sounded like she was in on said joke. =I'm not one-hundred percent sure we have a cargo bay anymore. I'm scrambling there now to see for myself. I'll grab whatever guests I see to help me out, and I'll keep security with their bumbling limbs clear of the scene.=

Falling silent for a short moment, Alika turned to the communications expert on the bridge. "Put us at blue alert." Her expression hardened as she flipped the system-wide speakers on. =Would all guests please head to or remain in your rooms. We are experiencing some unforeseen difficulties and will repair it shortly. Again, please remain in your rooms until further notice."=

Then her eyes flickered to Amelia once the other was in her seat. "Did you happen to see the Captain on your way up?"

Still listening in through her open comm-link, Draia's voice remarked, =Rumour has it, the Captain is trawling the lower decks. Don't know how close that places him to the explosion. I can keep an eye out!= As before, Draia sounded as if she was running an obstacle course while she spoke.
