Dixoho sighed to herself as she rubbed her temple looking at the glass in front of her brimmed with her whiskey. It was easy to see that she was possibly having a bad day, she didn’t want to talk she wanted to drink to forget her troubles. Who was she kidding it wasn’t going to help at all. Her life had always been complicated seeing how she left her family ship but now Michael was just making it awkward and uneasy. She really didn’t care that she was the sad drunk in the Crew Bar enjoying the Bajoran pop music that someone had decided was appropriate for the evenings' music.

It had been a good idea on the Command Staff to put in a Crew bar, cheap booze and somewhere they could relax that passengers unless escorted once they had more onboard, could come. It was fun, she had heard about crew bars on Civilian Vessels and Bases where you could literally get a drink, enjoy music and have a dance if the atmosphere was right and so far the bar staff had the mood just right.

Bannon was looking for Dix as he was thinking about dinner. She was not working so he had checked the usual haunts, now he had found her at the bar. She had told him their relationship was solid but here she was with a definite 'kiss off' attitude? She was drinking more it seemed and she was not talking to him about what troubled her. He went in any way and sat beside her. He ordered a beer. "So rough day?" He cared about her even if she could not see it. He wondered deep down if she knew what she wanted.

Dixoho smiled as the younger man as he came and sat by her. She had avoided him since the conversation with Michael in the lift that had confused and just made things awkward between her and the other department head, it was strange. “Bad day. I tried to find you earlier I needed engineer help. I got this old guy instead.” She had hoped if he had been the one they could have had a kiss and cuddle in her office before the actual fixing of the LCARS display.

"Yeah I was off duty this afternoon as they are changing my shift again, the good news is I will be working the same hours as you now." He put his hand on hers on the bar "sorry I was not around to help you out today. I would have if I knew you needed some expert support?" He smiled easily, she was pretty, even when sad. She seemed sad a lot of late and he wished he knew how to make her problems go away. Then he had no idea what those problems even were. "You eat yet?"

"Well, that is good news. How did you swing moving to Alpha from Bravo?" She had thought it was impossible for him to move around or at least what he had been told previously when he had requested it."It was more the making out that I required. Reessem taught me that phrase, I like it better but we don't have an equivalent in Trill." She teased him softly with a sultry smile before she lifted her glass to her lips with her free hand. "Not really. I went into the mess hall but no one was really there so I came here. This place has a much better atmosphere."

"No idea, just saw a note on the schedule board I had today off and started a new shift tomorrow? No one explains these things to a mere engineer." He smiled "maybe those God's people speak of or the fates as it were took pity on me." He laughed squeezing her hand gently. "So want to go get some food? I have heard you do not get drunk as fast if you have food in your stomach. We could go get dinner, dance between drinks and make an evening out of it?"

"Never had much use for gods or fates myself," Dixoho admitted with a shrug. It wasn't part of her make up to believe in them when if she were lucky enough you carried on through a symbiont. "I don't really fancy food but you can go get some. I will keep your seat warm." Dancing sounded nice to her, she hadn't done much exercising recently thanks to being trapped in a tiny office.

Markus sighed "well okay? I guess I will catch you later then." He stood and left his half-full mug on the bar. He figured she wanted to get drunk for whatever reason. That and she wanted to be alone. He walked over to the mess hall and got ribs and fries, what he considered comfort food. He got some ginger ale and sat down to feast. He dipped broccoli in his barb-b-que sauce. The number of fresh veggies had increased the last few months so there was plenty of food.

"I will be here." The woman sighed as he left. She didn't have any other plans that evening other than her whiskey and some forgetting. It wasn't hard to see that she was troubled but no one really wanted to see under the surface.
