Mission: Mission 6 - Azzia
Timeline: MD 01 12:00
2053 words - 4.1 OF Standard Post Measure

Dixoho wandered the corridors, angry at herself for being so foolish for showing weakness to anyone, even if they were medical professionals. She had known for a while that her burning out would happen but it didn’t mean she had to be treated like a child or coddled up in a blanket... she was by the first symbiont the Chief Navigator of the rust bucket but that meant a lot to her as it had become a proper home. She sighed a little before she pulled out her PADD from her back pocket and typed three words.

Are you in?

They was simple words, but she hoped Michael was around and not on duty. They had an odd relationship. They hadn’t discussed what they were but it was certainly something.

:::Shuttle Alexandria:::

Micheal was on his back, laying on the deck of his shuttle, waist deep inside an open control panel, trying to replace a burnt out EPS conduit. Suddenly, Rebecca appeared.

"Micheal, Miss Saa has sent you a message. "

"What does it say, Rebecca? OUCH!" He yelped as the conduit he was removing suddenly sparked. "Damnit, Rebecca! I thought you said you deactivated this section!"

"She asked if you were in." Her image flickered when the conduit sparked. "My my ap-apologies, Mmmmicheallll," she stammered as her image flickered again.

Micheal cursed some more as he quickly replaced the damaged part. Once he was done, he slid back out of the console and looked at his flickering A.I. "Initiate system restart and then run a level one diagnostic of your entire operating system."

The image of Rebecca suddenly vanished and the shuttle completely powered down. Ten long seconds later, the systems started to come back on. Rebecca's blue-colored avitar reappeared and she looked down at Micheal. "Thank you, Micheal. All systems now running at peak efficiency again." She then paused before asking again, "What shall I tell Miss Saa?"

"Tell her she can find me here." He replied as he crawled back into the console. He had a few more upgrades that he had been wanting to get done, and he felt now was as good a time as any.

:::Elsewhere on the ship:::

Suddenly, Dixoho's PADD chirped, indicating that she had a message.

The Trill smiled as she recieved the message saying he was on the Flight deck, which meant he was on his ship. She hadn’t expected him to be there at this time on Alpha shift but maybe Leiddem was manning the Security complex. It took mere moments to get there and climb the steps to the Alexandria. “Hello.” She greeted standing in the doorway.

"Hey," came a muffled reply. It was. Immediatly followed by a loud metallic bang and a few colorful curses. "C'mon on! Watcht your step. I'm on the middle of something here." The sound of tools being used filled the shuttle.

"Hello, Miss Saa," Rebecca stated cheerfully as her avitar poped into existence. He usual appearance of being dressed in Victorian garb had been changed. Now her image was covered in a drab grey flightsuit, with a patch on either shoulder. On the right shoulder was one depicting Micheal's shuttle, while the left one shoulder had one that represented the Mary Rose. One other obvious difference, was the fact that instead of the blueish caricature that she was, she now looked like a real woman.

Rebecca's new avitar was about 5'6" tall, with the appearance of weighing about 100-105 pounds. She had short, dirty blond hair and piercing blue eyes, the same color blue as she entire image used to be. She had the spots of a Trill and a very genuinely polite smile. However, there seemed to be something missing in her eyes. That spark of life wasn't there. It was clear that she was a program.

The woman slowly walked into the shuttle and looked around before she spotted the avatar. She raised an eyebrow but could see where the muffled voice was coming from. “You’ve changed?” She wondered still finding it strange that the shuttle had what she assumed was a repurposed Emergency hologram.

Rebecca smiled and glanced down at her appearence. "Yes, Miss Saa. I felt it would be easier for anyone who comes to Micheal's shuttle, to see a.... regular face? Is that the correct term? "

Dixoho smiled. “It is the correct term.” She wondered how much time and thought Michael had put into her.

Micheal finally slid back out of the open console and smiled up at Dixoho. "Hey! How're you feeling?" He groaned slightly as he stood up, putting the tool he was holding down and picking up a small tan towel. He used the towel to first wipe the sweat from his face and arms, then his bare, barrel chest.

Dixohob blushed before she looked away trying to not notice the scars or the fact he was incredibly handsome more do now he was topless. “I have been kicked out of the bridge with strict instructions to get fresh air.” She said looking intently at the life support console.

Micheal caught Dixoho's reaction and grinned to himself. "Becca, give us the room?"

Rebecca glanced at both of them, clearly not realizing what had happened. "Of course, Micheal. Bye, Miss Saa. " Her image then blinked out, leaving just the two living, breathing, people alone in the shuttle.

"Hey," he whispered as he reached out and gently pulled Dixoho to him. "Where'd you go, sweetheart?" He interlocked his hands behind the small of her back, pulling her towards his bare chest, as he looked down into her beautiful eyes.

The woman jumped at the sudden touch and easily let him pull her close. “I didn’t go anywhere. I was here.” She breathed avoiding his gaze for a moment before she looked at him again. She gulped at the look in his eyes.

"So," he began. "You were ordered to get some fresh air? Well, why don't we fly down to the planet and get some. We could go ear some good food, drink some great drinks, take in the local environs, maybe even go to one of the many beaches they gave down there?"

“You still have duty?” She questioned. Could they do relationship stuff off of the ship. Would whatever this was work?

Micheal shook his head. "The Captain has given me the week off. I think he is wanting everyone to get as much time to relax as possible. I got a feeling it might be a while before we get any serious down time." He bent down and softly kissed the tip of her nose. "So what do ya say? We go down and enjoy ourselves?"

If Dixoho was honest, all of what Micheal just said sounded quite nice. In all her years she had barely spent any time on planets and that was part of her problem now, why she struggled to breath sometimes. “Well we have to use the base ships to get down.” She pointed out softly as she looked up at him.

Micheal smiled and shrugged. He then reached farther down Dixoho's body and lifted her up, looking up into her eyes as he locked his hands under her bottom. "That just means more time to be together." He then stretched his neck forward and kissed her.

The woman was surprised by his sudden affection especially as he was topless and a bit dirty. She giggled at the sudden picking up, she had never had someone make her feel so small and light before. She kissed him back for a moment before pulling back. “What’s got into you?”

Micheal gave Dixoho a wolfish grin. "I told you that you bring out my passion." A sudden look of hunger crossed his face. "Tell you what, we'll head down in a few hours. First off, I need a shower. Care to join me?" He asked suggestively.

Dixoho shook her head at his suggestion. She knew he was getting impatient with her reluctance to take the next step, but she was still slightly unsure what their relationship was. “I can’t... Micheal, you ask me every time.” She lay her forehead against his.

Micheal grinned up at her. "That's because I want to be with you." He gave Dixoho a more serious look as he continued. "I don't want you to do anything that you're uncomfortable with, sweetheart. We will take this as fast or as slow as feels right to you. I'm not going anywhere. I care about you and only want you to be happy." He gave her a lop-sided grin. "Of course, that doesn't mean that I won't keep asking." He gave the young Trill a soft kiss, and then slowly lowered her back down to the deck.

"Of course, I do still need that shower." He glanced around the mess that currently was his shuttle cockpit. "I'll get this finished up later. Rebecca?" He looked off to his left as he said the name of his shuttle's A.I.

"Online, Micheal.

"Reroute the shuttle's operating programming into the secondary buffer assembly. I'll finish the rebuild of the primary system nect time I work on it." He let go of Dixoho as he spoke and reached over the flight seat and grabbed his shirt that he had laid over the headrest.

Rebecca cocked her head to the side briefly and then looked back at Micheal. "Done. All necessary programme is safely secured in the secondary buffer. Anything else?"

The large Texan shook his head. "No, you can go back to sleep. Deactivate hologram." Rebecca's physical avitar closed her eyes, as if going to sleep, then vanished. Looking back at Dixoho, Micheal smiled warmly. "Give me about half an hour, Di, and I'll be ready to go."

The Trill nodded at the man. "You should really consider using those quarters you have." Dixoho teased knowing full well he did sometimes, just not often. She felt like something had been lifted off of her as he said everything would happen when she was ready. That made her happier that she had that control over them and the relationship they were trying to build.

Shrugging, Micheal replied. "I've thought about it. The Captain has told me the same thing." He chuckled as he mentioned Reuben. The Mary Rose's commanding officer had expressed some frustration when he had come looking for the Armory Chief before the crew had begun their searches to determine the source of the phantom voices. "Like I told him, it'll just take me some time. This shuttle has been my home for a long time. Anywhere else just feels... strange." He gave Dixoho another tender kiss. "Maybe you could help me to settle in better?"

"I'll give you an hour," she whispered, giving him more time than he was needing. She shook her head at him, pressing a kiss to his clothed shoulder before disappearing quickly.

Micheal watched as Dixoho left his shuttle. His heart had truly started to come back to life after he met the beautiful Trill. He had forgotten how nice that felt. Suddenly, his smile faded. "Rebecca?"

"Yes, Micheal?" The AI replied as her avitar reappeared.

While still watching Dixoho's departure, the Texan spoke. "Check on the current status of Di's bounty..." He sighed as he continued. "Mine too. Try to find out if anyone has accepted either contract. When you have the information, send it to my PADD."

The avitar bowed her head slightly. "Understood. Anything else?"

Shaking his head, Micheal turned to look at the AI. "No thank you. Deactivate visual." The image of Rebecca faded, and Micheal collected a few other items before exiting his shuttle. After closing and locking the hatch, he made his way to his assigned quarters, to get cleaned up. He was going to try and enjoy his time down on the planet with Di. He just hoped that reality would stay away long enough for them to truly learn how to enjoy life.
