Selina stirred and clutched the sheet to herself as she moved away from the person lying in her bed. He moaned but didn’t stir enough allowing her to grab up a thin robe to go out to her living area. The sinking feeling hit her when she saw the figure in her quarters having obviously let himself in with his position as her bodyguard.

For a moment she was back on Vulcan with hellishly hot days, the freezing cold nights, the unnatural red sun, that damnable moon in the sky that looked like every night it got progressively closer and was about to fall out of the sky and crush her being told of the destruction of Betazed. “What do you want?” She demanded.

"Just checking that little bugger hasn't slit your throat ma'am. No need to get your sheets in a twist." he sneered back at her. Masan never took a lot seriously as he always had complete confidence in his ability to kill those that stood in his way and keep those safe that he was paid to do.

The woman rolled her eyes at him. "I don't think your boss would be slitting my throat." She taunted him knowing it would annoy him. "So you let yourself into my quarters?" She demanded looking at the man as he stood in the shadows that the light from a lamp that she had left on through.

Masan grumped at her comment. "He's pathetic and lucky he's paying me so much to keep him alive otherwise I'd kill him myself." he finished spitting on the floor. "In truth I wanted to see if your body needed guarding a little closer?" he added moving into the light a little.

"You do it because he will kill you if you don't, money had nothing to do with it Bodyguard." The Betazoid said with a bitter laugh as she looked him over. He guarded her because like most men he thought her a prize as one of the last Betazoid outside the breeding camps. "What makes you think I am alone?" She said stepping closer as she started searching his mind for what he wanted. She had no qualms about going inside his mind and ripping it to shreds again. "Ohh... you've been having lots and lots of naughty thoughts Bodyguard."

"Hey potato potato." he said at the mention of his current employer possibly managing to kill him. He'd survived harder men, harder jobs and a life led by destruction and death. "My thoughts are only naughty to those that are innocent and we both know that you are neither Betazoid." he said throwing up some of his El-Aurian mental barriers, feeling foolish for leaving his guard down in telepathic company.

Selina just grinned and leant against the desk of her quarters. They were large and spacious compared to most of the rooms designed for war but she was meant to entrant and seduce to find being who weren't loyal to Gregnol and the Empire. "So....Bodyguard what exactly were you wanting in guarding me a little closer?" She wondered.

"Just to see if you had any hidden 'talents' shall we say." he replied moving a little closer, Selina's frame coming more into view and was his own. "Unless you are done for the night?"

"I think you have seen my 'talents' already and you called me a witch if memory serves." She reminded him softly thinking of the fun they had, once upon a time. If she hadn't started a relationship that was a little bit more than casual with Kita she was sure this man would do, he was strong and had a protective streak.

"I don't think that word started with a W but we'll just agree to disagree," he replied. "Your 'talents' have always impressed me in some fashion but if you wish to be left alone with 'this' then I shall oblige."

Selina just smirked a little at him. "Don't look so disappointed Bodyguard." She soothed touching his arm for a moment pushing past his mental barrier just to tease. Your barriers are nothing to me Masan... She whispered in his mind.

The intrusion into his mind took him aback and he grabbed her arm in his defence. In his eyes he fought against the urge to throw her against the wall in passion, and just plain throw her into the wall in anger. His passion/anger had always been a great fire within him, something he maintains has kept him alive for so long and especially in a world where his people are not common in this part of the galaxy.

Selina smirked as she felt the mixture of emotions coming from the man. "We are both not common in the galaxy anymore my dear." She said her voice now aloud as she saw the fire in his eyes. "I know everything about you remember." She seemed tiny but inside her, there was just as much fire if not more in her.

He smirked, she was right. They were both rather scarce commoditiies in the galaxy but he was known only to a select few that he was one of the long lived species called El Aurians. Selina was the same, one reason for their 'shared experience' a few years past and beyond. The both had fire, they both were survivors of destroyed worlds and of the way the galaxy had developed around them.
