Location: Grotto
Timeline: MD 03 - 5:49 Hrs
1045 words - 2.1 OF Standard Post Measure

Tucked under a small pile of odds and ends in the Grotto, Valiyi found a moment of respite while the group regained their bearings. Even with her attempts to keep out of everyone's heads, the Betazoid found it difficult to keep herself out of the emotional states of those around her. There would be no time to remove herself from the splitting headache she was about to incur, as she had other matters to attend.

Closing her eyes as she sat, she reached out to determine if she could feel anyone past the ship. It may have been the first time in awhile since she had utilized her gifts, but they needed to find the rest of the crew, and fast. Reuben had been taken, but there was an eerie aura surrounding his mind. Odd.

Valiyi settled for a the vaguely familiar and warm aura she rested upon next. "Tucker... are you there?"

Tucker was sitting on the bed in the cell, it was boring but he was spending his time listening to the surrounding area. Mostly, he was paying attention to the guards, learning about their rotation and everything he could. Escape was on his mind, if he was going to die he was going to go down fighting. Because of his focus, he was startled when he heard Valiyi speak to him.

"Are we really going to play this game? You already interrogated me."

There was a sense of confusion from the other end. Valiyi hadn't had contact with any of those kidnapped since she had awoken. There was something terribly wrong if he was believing she would interrogate him. "I don't have a lot of time to debate this. I assume our assailers will find us eventually. Where are you?"

"I'm in the brig of whatever ship I'm on, you never told me the name." Tucker had a moment of confusion before something one of the guards had said snapped it all into place. He took a deep breath and looked around. "Wait, I think there are two of you. I mean we're not in our universe anymore."

"There's another ship?" Valiyi's sincerity broke through the telepathic message. "... I knew there were people crawling around this ship, but I was not aware of a different ship entirely." There was a long pause, as Valiyi narrowed her eyes. "Perhaps what Reuben mentioned was true. He suspected we were in trouble, but I did not understand the gravity of it until now."

"Yeah there's another ship, I aint seen much of it but I'm in her brig," Tucker closed his eyes and started drumming his fingers on the bed he was sitting on. "I think we're in trouble, I aint sure how much but I don't think they're planning on letting me go. I was working on an escape plan, but they built this brig pretty good."

A small hint of amusement came through Valiyi's telepathic communication. "You would." But then, a touch of concern. "We're working on a plan aboard the Rose, so we will try to... infiltrate in some manner. Please do not try to do anything brash."

"Oh darlin' we both know brash is my middle name," Tucker smirked as he closed his eyes and thought about it for a moment. "I'll try to keep myself under control for the moment. I'll let you know how that works out.

"You're incorrigible." Valiyi frowned, brow furrowing in thought. "I'll try to speed things up on my end, but there are quite a few guards around. I'd rather not move hastily. Some of the members of the crew may not coordinate well with others. But, if there are two ships... is there any other information you have?"

"You know, me going around causing trouble might create a good distraction for you. Of course I have to wait until I can get out of this cell." Tucker pointed out as a smirk formed on his lips, even if she couldn't see it. "Don't rush. I didn't think I'd make it out of this and even with you making a move I might still not."

"... We might be able to use that." The cogs began to turn in Valiyi's head, plan forming. "Even if you're making a commotion from your cell, it might prove to be a good distraction... so long as it doesn't get you killed. Hm." Her presence trailed off for a short moment, before she snapped back into the thought. "We will get you out of there. Wherever there is."

"I appreciate the sentiment, but I don't think that's going to be so easy darlin'," Tucker thought back to her, he had been listening in to the guards for a little while now. He had an idea on how to get the cell door open. "I'm one man and if I know my brigs, and I do, this is the brig of a good sized ship. It's time for me to go to work, be ready."

"Tucker, please." Valiyi urged, quietly deciding to herself that the whole of the crew of the Mary Rose needed impulse training and when it was appropriate to utilize it. "Whatever it is you're planning, please be careful. You're much too... don't die."

"I aint planning on dying, just don't know what's gonna happen," Tucker chuckled, even though she wasn't in the room with them. "It's going to get pretty interesting. You just keep yourself safe darlin'."

Valiyi let out a sigh, before her eyes narrowed at the doorway of the Grotto. Resolving it was probably best to keep what she had noticed to herself, she decided to cut their discussion short. "... I will be in touch, Tucker."

"Lookin' forward to it darlin'," Tucker answered, he didn't move from where he was sitting but he continued to listen and wait.
