After speaking with Selina, instead of returning to the party, Micheal decided to return to his ship. He wanted to both think about what they had spoken of and do some research, as she had suggested.

Before entering his quarters, he did a quick scan of the interior for any surveillance bugs or hidden traps. It was a habit which he had picked up early in his career, a habit that had saved his life on more than one occasion. After several minutes, when he was satisfied that no one had intruded upon his private space, he unlocked the door and entered. As soon as he stepped inside, he closed and relocked the door. Moving over to sit at his desk, he activated the hidden comm unit that was connected directly to Rebecca's matrix. While it had cost him a small fortune, thanks to the cybornetic devices already surgically attached to his body, the device was easily hidden among the rest of the tech.

Report. He thought the command.

Everything is normal, Master, Rebecca's sultry voice replied in his mind. The Fenrir has not detected your doppelganger's ship. I am slowly moving into position, as ordered, to pull you out, should the need arrise.

Micheal nodded to himself as he listened. Very good. Maintain standby status. Should you feel that your position is about to be detected, depart the area and return when able. Out. Deactivating the channel, he turned his attention to his dest computer. After logging in, he slowly and methodically worked through all of the available information regarding the Mary Rose. Much of the information was superfluous and he moved that aside to another folder. Moving to the personnel files, he started with his doppelganger. Reading about both the service and personal history of that universe's Micheal Robertson, he started to feel a connection to the man. He found that while they were certainly opposites on many facets, there were several in woch they were exactly alike. Both were honorable, couragous, fast thinking and dependable. They both also cared deeply for those closest to them.

When Micheal came to the part of the file containing the murder of his counterpart's wife and children, he stopped. Even though he, himself, had never been married, nor sired any children, he suddenly felt a boiling rage start to grow inside his core at this attrocity. To kill an opponent on equal ground was one thing. To snuff out the lives of the innocent so callously angered hom deeply. He realized now, that was why he had gone after Reuben, following the destruction of Betazed. So many innocents had lost their lives that day. The Russian could never fully atone for that sin.

Micheal suddenly came to the realization of what he had to do. He had to find a way to, not only save the Mary Rose crew, but get them safely back to their own universe. While certainly a monumental task, if planned and executed correctly, it was possible. Of course, he was aware of the fact that, once his paticipation in the escape was discovered, he would become a hunted man. Both Reuben and the Admiral would turn the universe on its ear to find and kill him.

He would have to be very careful.
