Location: Lobby of Hotel

ON:

Jasper was coming back to the hotel from the Festival. They had closed down the rides and stopped the beer flowing at the festival and so with his arms around two women he made his way noisily down the street. The women were Azzian and they were wearing their traditional garb totally into the well-lubricated human. If truth were be told they were all out of a good time and there wasn't any romance involved. On his right was a blonde who leaned against his shoulder as she laughed heartily at his old jokes and on the other side an ebony-skinned damsel that seemed amused by his antics. As they approached the hotel then waved him goodbye and the human made his way towards the entrance.

His hair was dishevelled and his shirt half untucked though he walked fairly straight as he entered the lobby, "wow that was fun," he said mostly to himself as the place was nearly vacant.

Cassie was wondering around the lobby trying to clear her head a little. She turned just in time to see her friend walking in looking dazed. "You okay?" She called looking at him amused.

"Haven't been better," Jasper said with a chuckle. He ran a hand through his hair as if the act would actually help put it back into place, "I had an amazing time on their rides and probably a drink or two too much." He drew in a deep breath and looked over at his friend, "even had some women to keep me company."

"Ah the ladies man has reappeared," Cassie said moving to sit on one of the seats that littered the lobby area of the hotel they were all in. "I am glad you've had a good night though you deserve it." It was the truth, they all deserved a little downtime.

"So why are you still up," the man questioned taking a seat near her, "something on your mind?" He tilted his head and grinned, "and, are you going on the tours tomorrow, should be fun."

"Johnathen was snoring." She admitted half joking trying to get away from the fact there was something on her mind and she just didn't know what it was. Sometimes her and Johnathen together, sometimes they weren't, it was a strange way of life they had at the moment now being civilian and learning so many new things."I am we are meeting early right?"

Jasper chuckled as he heard what his friend was doing to keep Cassy awake, "It is going to be early and I probably shouldn't have stayed out so late." He glanced down at his dishevelled appearance and chuckled again, "I really can't believe just how fun this planet has been."

"Are you going to stay when we leave?" She wondered with a grin. It would be just like her friend to stay and party when they left.

"No," Jasper admitted shaking his head and taking on a more serious look, "I think I better try and straighten up a bit, take things a little more seriously." He drew in a deep breath and continued, "I'm thinking about just staying on the Mary Rose and doing ops though."

"I am staying. So much of my work has been done without me. So many discoveries." She sighed sadly thinking of all the changes in her field and science in general.

"Why not just stay on Mary Rose," Jasper asked letting his brow furrowed, "I know Johnathen would miss you and, well, so would I."

"I am staying. I will stay until Andreus and the Ensign wakes up." She murmured thinking of the two comotosed people who had come out of the teleporter with them. She wasn't just going to let them wake up without her. "Johnathen would finally move on."

"You mean you are staying on Mary Rose until they wake, right," perhaps it was the alcohol but things weren't making much sense, "and I don't know how Johnathen would move on, you're perfect for each other."

The woman sighed at her drunk friend. Things were more complicated with Johnathen than she cared to admit at the moment. "Yes don't worry I am staying Jas. Maybe you should go to sleep though?" She suggested kindly as she stood herself.

"Agreed," Jasper said as he stood and smiled at his friend, "I'm glad you are staying with us Cassy, I know I'd miss you."

She was grateful for the company, even if a little awkward because of it but the man looked shattered and needed to sleep. Rest couldn't help her, sleep only plunged her into dreams that exhausted her more than staying up most the night did. All these things she could deal with later, right now she had to eat humble pie and return to bed. "See you in the morning." She whispered patting his arm before she stood up.
