The High priestess let her feet land on the elevated platform with the eager help of a half a dozen male Azzians. They were all dressed in festive colors, bright and beautiful clothing of their traditional garb. She in a bright azure blue that matched her pale eyes when she was younger. There were still specks of the deeper tones that shown through and contrasted will with her dark coffee skin tone. The gown had a silken sheen with vividly colored flowers of various kinds and colors that made her stand out even among the growing crowds of Azzians awaiting the opening ceremony.

They were out along the beach with rows and rows of tents and pavilions to her left and lined up with just awaiting their guests. The sea was to her back providing a beautiful backdrop with the two suns setting over the waters. Beer had not begun to flow though the taps yet, however, the kegs would be bursting as soon as the festivities had begun.

The woman stood there gazing out over the group with the her arms outstretched. On her head was a golden head dress that looked much heavier than it actually was. On it was the angled infinity symbol with a sphere between each, one slightly larger than another, that had become the Imperial symbol.

Micheal was dressed in a pair of loose, tan colored, linen pants, an equally loose, yet well fitting, white linen, button-up shirt, which was completely unbuttoned and the sleeves rolled up just past his strong forearms, a pair of pale blue docksider loafers, and a light sage green tank top, which was tucked into his pants and held in place by a black leather belt with a simple clasp. He was currently standing in among the throng of people, getting ready for the beginning of the celebration. Looking down to his right, he smiled and gently squeezed the hand of the beautiful Trill that was standing next to him. "You ready to party, Di?"

"Been a long time since I've partied like this." She looked around looking slightly wild thanks to the Azzian who had added stripes of neon cloth to her arms giving her a look of some warrior.

Micheal smiled at The young Trill's exuberance. He was glad that they were able to unwind like this, especially after the hectic last several months. Everyone desperately needed this shore leave.

The woman on the stage began to speak moving her arms as if they were hands on a clock in a circular motion, "as time moves on and Lo’dia leads Dobi’ across the heaven their golden beams grace us and cause our world to bask in their light. We come to bask in their glory and praise their majesty. Let us rise in praise to the givers of life, our immortal parents that live among the heavens."

The crowd of Azzians broke into a loud shout and a spray of coloured water and balls of multicoloured powder began to fly through the air raining down on the crowd.

Micheal laughed a bit at the sudden craziness that ensued. His clean, dry clothes soon became both covered in multiple colored powders and and soaked to his skin by the water.

Lorenzo had not been expecting the powder and water and was caught unprepared. He very quickly became soaked to the skin and covered in a variety of colours. He laughed and a green ball of powder exploded across his face. A pair of Azzians near by grinned at him and one tossed another ball of powder at him. It struck him in the center of his chest and exploded outwards, staining all those nearby with purple. He laughed again, this was going to be a great party.

Hal just laughed as he watched the multicolored antics. "This is great!" he said, looking around with enthusiasm. He too hadn't expected the powder, but didn't mind it either. He took a direct hit of a blue ball straight to the face. "Nice! My favorite color!" he laughed.

Catelyn listened with awe as the High Priestess spoke in front of the large crowd. She felt the excitement in her blood as she smelled the air. She wore a white tank with a violet skirt, a gold trim outlining the edges. Her tan sandals peaked from underneath the fabric as she stepped forward, trying to get a closer look.

She seemed to be in a light daze just as the water rained upon her pale skin. Her pink lips smiled as she let out a soft laugh as the colorful powder stained her clothes. Looking to Lorenzo, she jumped happily, yelling along with everyone else. The last few months had been so stressful, so serious and concerning that she was finally able to let everything out. "THIS IS AMAZING!!" she yelled again as she smiled at the man.

Jasper just stood there for a moment as he watched the spectacle. His eyes raised as he saw the spouts of water rise into the sky and the waves of powder fly over his head and land all over him. He started laughing closing his eyes as the first big spray of green water splashed across him followed up yellow and red that splashed across his back and side. He began to shout with all the women around him who grabbed his hands and began dancing in a growing circle.

Reuben stood near Jeassaho and grabbed her hand before he was tugged off and away by more women. "Come on just for tonight. Protect me from all these women." He whispered as he was hit by blue and pink powder. The woman looked at him and gasped as the group around them forced the former couple closer together.

"Like that is going to work," Dixoho muttered to anyone who could hear her over the noise of the singing and cheering. It explained a lot of the Captain's sullenness if he was holding out for the Engineer.

"What was that?" Micheal asked as he tilted his right ear closer to Dixoho, to try and hear her better over the boisterous cacophony that surrounded them.

"Don't ask." She grinned as they both got splashed by a yellow powder bomb at the same time. She burst into laughter. "Yellow isn't your colour." She commented on as she turned to watch the display might as well take in a little of the culture.

Micheal joined in on the laughter. It felt good to laugh again. It felt good too, well, feel again. He wasn't sure if Dixoho truly understood how much she had changed him in their short time together. He hoped he would be able to show her.

As the festivities began the same men who had placed the Azian woman in the headdress on the stage carried her off and placed her in a litter. The chair was golden in color as were the poles that supported. Hoisting the woman onto their shoulders they began to run around on the edge of the group and then made their way through the crowds of mostly women that seemed happy to oblige them and threw as much water and powder on them as they possibly could.

Catelyn twirled as the color powders struck her clothing. The burst of purples and blue stained her hair as she smiled, raising her hands above her head. Looking around, she realized how close everyone was around her. She barely recognized those next to her. She wasn't worried, but more curious. She'd never been to this planet before and she wanted to explore. Looking up, she could barely see a glimpse the woman being hoisted above. It was all magical, really. An escape from reality...
