After talking with his team, then pulling up a list of who he needed to talk to, Micheal decided to start with the Operations Chief, Lil Corbeau.

While they had spoke a few times, since his return, Michesl still didn't have a full read on the person. Hopefully, after this meeting, he would.

When he reached the closed door to the office, he reached up and pressed the call button. Then he waited.

"Come in," Lil called rubbing her temples. Somehow someone had talked her into this, even though she'd just gotten out of starfleet and hated paperwork. She'd found herself right back into paperwork although not as extensive, things still needed to be tracked and ordered. She glanced up and was surprised. "What can I do for you?"

Micheal gave the overworked Ops Chief a warm smile. "Hey, do you have a minute? There's something that I need to talk to you about."

"I have many minutes, it's just a matter of rearranging them and keeping track," it was sort of a joke, but also true. "What do you want to talk to me about?" that way she'd know how many of her precious minutes she'd need to use up or rearrange.

Micheal chuckled softly. He had known a few Ops Chiefs that seemed the same way as Lil. He had discovered that each of them turned out to be excellent at their jobs. So, he had no doubts that the same would be the case here. "Well, in general, Id like to get your opinion on how things are going for Rosie as things are right now. Do you feel our continuing the way we have been to be a lucrative proposition, or should something be changed?"

"I'm not sure I'm the person to ask about that. I'm not too long out of Starfleet and don't really feel like I've got this 'work for a living' thing down yet. I keep forgetting I can't just get a spare part out of stock when I need it because we don't have a cargo bay of things waiting for us."

Nodding, Micheal understood her feelings. He had felt that way a bit after he became a bounty hunter. "Well..." he began, careful on how he worded things. "If there was a way to improve you, supply of parts as you said, but it would require the Rosie and her crew joining a bigger group, how would you feel about that?"

Lil couldn't help but frown. "What kind of bigger group are we talking about here? I hope you're not suggesting we become pirates of some kind."

Micheal chuckled softly. "Pirates?! No, not pirates." He paused briefly then, looking her in her eyes, "Fenris Rangers." He then waited for her reaction.

"Ah yes. Well . . . it's difficult for me to answer seeing as I've been in Starfleet since I was eighteen. I still believe in their mission and I realize that their mission has changed. But honestly, I'd rather not be a part of some kind of vote on the subject. I almost feel like it's betraying my oath or something. But I will support whatever Gregnol decides, I know him to be a good person."

Micheal nodded thoughtfully as he listened. "Hey, I understand your feelings. I was eighteen years enlisted in Starfleet. Heck, the only reason why I hung around here in the beginning, was because of Reuben. He is an honest man, and an excellent Commanding Officer. Where he goes, I go, as well. Granted, now that I've been here for a while, and made new connections, Rosie is my home. I will do whatever necessary to keep her and those I care about, safe." He paused briefly. "Sorry, He said with a grin. "I went on a little rant there." He chuckled softly, hoping Lil didn't think any less of him.

Lil shrugged. "So you're in favor of the change then?"

Micheal took a moment, then nodded. "I am. From what I've read, while they are labeled as vigilantes, the Rangers are doing good out here. Perhaps, in eighty years, Starfleet will be strong enough to fully patrol the outer reaches. Until then, though, someone needs to step up and say, I'll hold the breach. The Fenris Rangers are doing just that. So, yeah, to repeat myself, I am for joining their ranks." He paused. "Does that help you any?"

Nodding Lilia answered, "Just as long as we keep our noses clean." But they had already discussed her trust in Gregnol. And she was sure that no matter what happened, this ship would not end up as some sort of vigilante. "Very well then. I guess the vote is probably unanimous?"

Micheal shrugged. "Dunno. You are the first of the senior staff that I came to see. I should have a better feel of how things are looking by the end of the week."

"Sure. Well I look forward to hearing about it. Will be interesting."
