Stardust hurt. not everything on her person hurt. her swaying tail felt fine, plus her legs and back. Well, at least that's what she thought as she slowly made her way through the corridors of the old ship. Whatever direction the lift brought her, and again making her way through another series of hallways to the sickbay. Stardust's ribs and head hurt and it made the world seem to slow down a bit more then normal for the Caitian.

"Ugh" she mumbled time and again, when no one was looking.

The cait felt like she gotten a hang over, but, the truth of the matter, the power slipped on for a minute or so. Which effected the gravity deck plate, which had her floating in Zero G. However, she was grateful that the vents remain open for her to breath. Yet, when the power did return, it came with an brutal downward force. Everything, including herself, that wasn't bolted down, came crushing down. Sher landed with a thud and things smash, broke, and other various sounds rain around her in her cabin.

When the cait made it to the infirmary, all she wanted to do is sit down, relax, take whatever made the resident doctor would give her, after her exam, before asking him if he would like some help, despite the fact she had no real medical training to speak of, let alone no starfleet training either.

"Hello, welcome to Sickbay," Olsam said. He appeared behind her, having stepped out from his crouching position behind a cart. It was the only cart with functioning wheels in the whole of Sickbay, so he'd been intently working on the maintenance of said wheels. "I'm Dr. Olsam Mott. You can call me Dr. Olsam. Are you dying, like the rest of the crew, or just injured?"

Not overly startled, but startled enough to cause the caitian account to quickly turn about to look at the Bolian who appeared out of thin air.

"Injured" returned the Caitian "Dr. Olsam, what do you mean dying like the rest? I feel great, just not a few moments when the power switched on and off. Gravity plate and all. So yeah, I'm Stardust and you can call me Stardust."

"Stardust," Olsam repeated thoughtfully. "I once had a regular patient named Stardust during a sabbatical I took on Nimbus III. She was a prostitute. Are you a prostitute, too?" Without waiting for a response, he picked up a small diagnostic tool and began to make a cursory examination of her. "Everyone else is dying. Well, almost everyone else. You and I seem mostly healthy. So far."

"A purrrstitude I was not. I do have a cousin who was an exotic dancer, turned Starfleet officer. But, I don't think she was that." returned Stardust the proceed with addressing the last half of her statement with a bit of shock "Dying. Oh my....wait mostly healthy. That's like calling humans harmless, then changing it to mostly harmless on a whim. Oh boy. How did this come to pass?"

"Someone came into contact with a pathogen that subsequently spread throughout the crew," Olsam said flatly. After staring for a long minute with no response, he realized she might have meant something else. "Oh, you mean... How it started started? Well. I think it had something to do with that Vault they opened. At least, that's the commonality between all the original patients. I haven't had a chance to investigate any further; I've been trying to come up with the cure first."

"Ah." she returned then added "That's explains all the hear says that was going on. You think that it only effects humans and those of dual heritage? A cure, there might be something in the computer, maybe a ship long ago or recently came across something like this?"

Olsam snorted and gave the nearest computer terminal a swift kick. "Sure! If this thing had any decent databases. I've put in a request to Starfleet Medical for database access, but it'll take forever to work up the bureaucracy to the right person." He huffed. "Even then it might not go through. They don't like me very much. Supposed ethical violations and all. As if."

Stardust smiled as she lend over and kissed the kind doctor on his blue skin cheek just to see him smile "I noticed the sad state of the computers, Doctor. However, just put that wonderful mind to work and to hell with what they think. I trust you and that's good enough for me."

Olsam brightened a bit at that, as it was an attitude that fit closely with his own - do what needed to be done, and "to hell with what they think." It was just a shame that "they" were so consistently the ethics review board.

She hopped off the old biobed and readjusted her outfit. "Well doctor, looks like We prrrrt ways and I know I'll see you around"

Stardust exited sickbay.
