Nollel glanced back at the strange pair as Liem pulled her back into the fray of the party but they were no longer where they had been moments before. How strange she thought as her fiancée wrapped an arm around her waist wanting to show that he cared.

“What are you worrying about?” The troglodyte asked worried about the small blonde. She was beautiful even for a Stratos city-dweller but to him he was blown away that she was even gracing him with her presence. They had always seemed stuck up when he had encountered city-dwellers but Nollel seemed like she belonged else where.

“I… those…” She did not get to say more as a huge cake was wheeled towards them. “That…. Wow that is huge.” Nollel commented.

“Your parents organised it. Said it is traditional to have a huge cake the night before a wedding.” Nollel looked at the man and then across to where her smiling parents. Everyone was counting on her to be the perfect example of pose, delicately and devoting most of her time to the arts and philosophy. There had to be something more right? “It’s too much isn’t it?” He asked seeing her reaction.

Beya blinked, she'd been sitting in Ishamura's medbay and now she was... Where? She'd gone from sitting to squatted down in a tight dark space. With zero light, she felt around. Whatever she was in was round, cylindrical. And completely black. Great. She tried to think about the layout of current medbay vs the old one she'd been in. Had she moved back to her time and wound up inside the decompression chamber or something? But surely there'd be some light...

Nollel looked up at the man with the kindest eyes she had ever seen and nodded. It was so over the top and not at all but she knew it would be her parents doing they could never do something normal especially with troglodyte involvement. If only they saw this whole thing as what it could do instead of trying to use it to one up Liem and his family. “Yes but I know it was not you.” She assured.

“You are not really like them are you?” The huge man asked and smiled more as he watched the cake wobble a little. “Is it meant to do that?”

Beya had begun to feel around for a latch when whatever she was in moved. She braced against walls as it ...rolled? Was she in a shipping container? And if so, where was it going? She renewed her efforts to find a latch or a seem or anything that felt like it might open.

“No?” Nollel commented as the cake wobbled again and others around took a step back as they started to see it too.

“Is someone in there?” Liem asked stepping forward tucking the woman behind him. What they were doing was dangerous getting married there were lots of people not wanting to see it.

She could hear voices now, and having found no latch Beya began yelling and pounding on the container walls. "Yes! In here! Let me -" Each word was punctuated with palms striking the lid until it suddenly gave away, sending broken pieces of cake were flying everywhere as she popped through the suddenly open top. She looked around at people in fancy dress covered in pastry and frosting. "...out."

Liem stepped forward to help whoever was in side just in time to get slightly splattered with cake. He looked down at the frost and then at the woman who had appeared from a cake. “Are you okay?”the large man asked stepping forward to help her out of there cake with a hand.

"Yes. Thanks," Beya said, taking the offered hand. It was attached to a cute guy, so she smiled as she stepped out. "I was stuck in there and..." she looked around at the large empty cylinder packed around with the remnants of... Her brows drew down. "Did I just pop out of a cake?"

“Yes.” Nollel answered from the beside Liem as she surveyed the damage ignoring the whispers and talking of the people around them. The only one hurt seemed to be the cake which was a relief but it did bring up a lot of questions for the woman. “Our wedding engagement cake. How did you get in there?”

Nollel? Beya kept herself from saying it, mostly because the woman looked different from the one that she knew. and the guy with her was definitely not Burnie. Then 'engagement' registered and she recalled the story of why Burnie had first been attracted to her... She glanced around the cargo bay nervously. Surely, Nollel wouldn't blow it up with all these people in here. Even Burnie wouldn't do that. Plus, the way she'd stepped up beside the guy, was she even planning to blow things up at this point? Dear Goddess, what if I'm the reason the wedding gets called off with a bang?

The thought was disconcerting at first, but then beya thought of how happy Nollel and Burnie seemed to be. Maybe the thing to do was give things an extra push. "I'm not sure," she replied, mostly honestly. "Normally, Orion-popping-out-of-a-cake is a bachelor party thing. Or bachelorette sometimes." She grinned at the couple. "Unless someone thought you two could use a third?"

The troglodyte snorted but it was an older city dweller that stepped in. “We certainly did not think that. You have no idea what you are interrupting.” The woman looked like she could be related to Nollel apart from she had much darker hair and lines around her eyes.

“Aunt Dronnxe the woman was nearly joking.” Leon assured. “I am very much just happy with my little artist.” Leim offered a smile and hand to Nollel who took it.

"I wasn't joking," Beya objected. "Not really. You'd be surprised how many people order this a gift." It was the truth. Her mother had a bit of a side business for it. "But if it's not needed,... " She glanced around - unhappy people, a cargo bay destined for a boom Burnie would eventually smile about. She needed to get out of here. "Sorry. I'll, uh, just find some place to get out of your way."

“For my aunt you are very much joking.” Nollel said looking the woman over intrigued as she looked around the cargo bay.

“Are you looking for something Miss?” Liem asked quietly as the people started to disperse.

A way back to where I should be... Beya shook her head. "Just looking for a way out of an embarrassing situation. Sorry to have messed up your party."

“You are not the first.” Nollel said bluntly thinking of the strange pair earlier and her own family going o eg the too with things when it was hit her style nor Liem’s. “You gave us a chance to have a breather from our own families.” She added indicating the door and offering to walk her out as she wanted to know how the woman had gotten into the cake in the first place.

"Glad it wasn't all bad," Beya replied with a half-smile. She could understand the needing-a-break-from-family part. Her mom and sisters had had a way of becoming a bit much when there was a big party, especially if they were hosting. Nodding toward the indicated door, she started in the that direction. "I'll show myself out and let you get on with it." Hopefully before whatever bomb you've planted goes off...

Nollel nodded at the woman and offered a confused smile as she looked up at Liem. “Strange day hmm?” She wondered to the man as they both watched the woman step out of the room.

“Has been since our parents quest for unity started.” He said quietly squeezing her a little. She was very much the calm in the storm that had been created.

Hurrying through the door, Beya paused to look back at the couple and disappeared...
