Amelia followed Jeassaho to the SS Mary Rose in complete confidence. She smiled at the history behind this older ship. She was a bit run down, but no matter...it was a ship. With a little elbow grease, she'd run like the day she was born. And Amy would fly it.

As they neared the Captain, Amelia was sure to dust herself off. Running her fingers through her hair, she whispered into Jeassaho's ear "That's him? Easy on the eyes, love." she winked playfully "But nothing more than you.." she giggled. Upon being in the man's presence, she straightened her stance. Looking him up and down, she noticed his proud stature...She only hope that this man would allow her to fly again....

"JJ?" Rueben looked over at the woman as she stubbornly stood just outside the Cargo Bay where he was checking off cargo and provisions that were coming on board. He only noticed her thanks to the unfamiliar person stood next to her thanks to how busy he was.

"Girl is a pilot." She replied staring at him. She had barely spoken anything since she had come onboard and she wasn't changing it. If he wanted her to forgive him he was going to have to earn it.

"Amelia Harkness at your service, sir. Pleasure to make your acquaintance," she said as she held out her hand. "I was the top of my class at Starfleet and can fly any ship like no tomorrow. Allow me the opportunity to show you, sir." she smiled. She did feel a strong sense of agitation among these two... She didn't know what is was about, but she had a feeling that she'd find out soon enough.

"She's too cocky," said a voice from around the corner of one of the gargantuan cargo containers. Peeking her head out from around said corner, Alika sized up the woman next to Jeassaho, addressing Rueben as if he were the only one in the room. "We've got plenty of cocky around here, not exactly in the market for another."

"If ya classify 'cocky' as proud and confident, then by all means..." she smiled innocently "Seriously though, I'd be good at what I do. Put me against any pilot you know. I'm not afraid to prove myself." she replied back in all seriousness. She did not look to Jeassaho, or to the woman that attempted to size her up. She looked to the Captain. He was all the mattered in this very second of time.

Rueben sighed softly. What was it about him that attracted hot shot pilots to Rosie like a moth to a flame. He glanced as Jeassaho and smiled a little at her looking for her help. "I really don't need cocky... I am this one for that." He indicated Alika with a fond smile. "And I have around in a doctor and this one is far too confident." He looked at Jeassaho knowing that she was far too confident in her abilities as an Engineer,

"Nevermind the fact that I'm in charge of all the pilots," Alika pointed out. "So I think we need skills, not any of this blowing of hot air."

"Like I said, I can certainly show ya." Amelia replied simply. "I love to fly. It's my calling. Honestly sir, it's my calling. It's my life. When I put my hands on the gears, I become one with the machine. I am the ship."

"Okay... Ladies how about we settle this in a shuttle." Rueben murmured looking at Jeassaho for some kind of assistance in this. Both women were staring at each other and he did need more pilots.

Alika had no intention of seeing this through. It wasn't her decision, and, despite what everyone seemed to think of her attitude, she was no expert. No one ever told her she needed to be in 'charge,' but simply that she needed to point the ship in a direction and fly the blasted thing. Dodging and weaving with a defunct class of starship wasn't impossible, but much easier to bluff when all her systems were out of date. But of course, no one needed to know that.

Waving a hand, she turned away from the group. "Y'all can evaluate whatever ya want. There's a bunch of guests who're gonna need attending to and I'd rather make sure the right diplomat-types're in front of 'em. Which means I gotta fish our Hydroponics out of 'er garden. She's least liable to shoot people's heads off."

Amelia nodded, listening to the feisty woman ramble on about diplomats. She seemed like an interesting gal. Hopefully she'd get used to perhaps having another pilot around. That is if she got the job. She had been so desperate to fly again, and this ship was old and beautiful. She wanted a chance "Roger that." She replied simply, sneaking a smirk to Jeassaho. She decided to keep her opinions to herself. After all, what was the use in getting into a debate with the feisty chick that seemed to know everything?

"I won't shook anyone." Jeassaho murmured brightly. "I can handle diplomat's." She had been a senior officer of a Starfleet vessel she at the very least could handle it and with a lot more grace that majority of people.

Already walking past the pair and off through the doors behind them, Alika gestured with a hand. "Then you can come too," she commented, turning the corner and drifting off before anyone could stop her.

Amelia nodded to the general before she would follow "Sir, do I have clearance to board?" she asked quickly as the two women quickly rushed passed them. "I promise that I'm worth your time..."

Rueben just pinced his nose. He needed pilots even if Alika wasn't sure, he didn't have the time to be fussy today.

Amelia raced after Jeassaho and Aika, trying to catch up to her new team. "Imma comin', mates!"
