"Change....yes..." She gave him a nod, taking her things and entering her cabin, then emerged about ten seconds later, one shoulder sagging, eyes crossed and head hanging to the side, although she was still wearing the same clothes. "How ish dis?" she drawled, but then she straightened and laughed, enjoying teasing him. "That just makes my face hurt, so if you are all right with it, I'll stay the way I am?"

Braden had an odd expression as he watched her morph and then smiled nervously "I agree I much prefer you as you are now."

"Oh, good, because it's a lot easier." Bettina flexed her face a bit, then nodded. "Yeah, better!"

He took a step backward and pointed to the turbolift "On to deck-4." He walked beside her back to the turbolfit. It was a short ride and once the doors open he took a couple step lead "I am a few doors down this way. Coming?"

"Yeah..." She trotted a couple paces to keep up with him, pleased that he 'lived' so close.

He took a few step lead and held the door open for her. "The couch is right there, feel free to turn on music or the video screen." he back pedaled toward his room removing his shirt as he walked. His muscular chest and abs briefly visible before he ducked into his room.

"Sure, all right." She looked around as she stepped into the quarters, catching a brief flash of skin, liking what she saw, but feeling a bit like she saw something she probably shouldn't have. Rolling her eyes, she settled onto the couch, although she didn't turn anything on.

"Feel free to begin timing me." He called from his room and moved into the shower.

"Got it!" she called, laughing. "Time's wasting!"

His hamper was in the bathroom so his sweaty cloths were dropped off just before he stepped into the sonic shower. Years of habit he was out in two minutes and began dressing in clean underwear, dressy jeans and a button deniim shirt. He put on a darker pair of running shoes that at least appeared dressier. and stepped out under six minutes. "So how did I do?" he moved to the door "or do I have to exit the room to accomplish my task?"

There was no answer...Bettina was slumped back on the couch, 'snoring', eyes closed...well, almost. If he looked closely, he'd see her peeking at him, only feigning sleep.

He stopped and watched her "Hmm, it would appear beauty has fallen asleep." He took a tentative step towards her and then another. "Mayhap a kiss is required to wake sleeping beauty?" He noticed her eyes and her breathing so knew she was not truly asleep. Braden stepped in front of her and knelt. he moved his face closer to hers slowly till his lips were a breath from hers. "Last chance to wake before I kiss you."

Well, she hadn't expected this, and really, Bettina was intrigued, although uncertain. She wasn't the sort to openly flirt, she was just the way she was, so this hadn't been intended as flirting.

Still, she found that she really didn't mind the idea of a kiss...from a Prince...

"Reedeep!" she croaked softly, then broke into a fit of giggles!

Laughing Braden moved away then kissed her on the forehead. "Am I still a frog?" He stood offering her both hands to help pull her to her feet. "Or have I transformed into a prince." He pulled her to her feet and stepped away holding just the one hand.

Bettina laughed as he pulled her up, then shrugged. "Well, I was implying that I was the frog, but if you want to do that...I sure know I'm no princess."

"My lady fair be warned, if she says I be a prince I will extract a good night kiss at the end of the evening?" Braden blushed as he was never so bold. He tugged her hand toward the door with him "I apologize that was overly bold of me. After all we have barely met."

"Oh, well, in that case, I can let you be the Prince!" Bettina's cheeks brightened along with his as she trotted after him to the door, clinging to his hand. "Don't have to apologize, really." She really was getting to like him, but he was right, they had only just met.

"But you never know, you might feel differently after we dance!"

He stopped just before walking out the door. "It is a moot point as I am still a frog." He smiled and winked "but I will not be changing my mind. Maybe it will be nothing, no fire? Still it would be worth the effort to find out." He released her hand once outside in the hall afraid he might embarrass her by holding hands. "Ready to check out the dance music on deck-7."

"I am!" Bettina was happy that she'd finally made the acquaintance of someone more of her ilk on the ship, it was always good to have a friend.

Taking a few steps ahead of him, she twirled around so that her skirt flared out and the tiny bells chimed merrily. "I know all kinds of dances!" she declared, then fell in step beside him, linking her arm into his. "Well, maybe know of is more appropriate. I hope you wore your steel toed boots."

She was so lively! He always felt so rather boring and dull, beside her he felt fun. He liked her and hoped they would be at least friends. At the moment he was sort of glad they had not kissed as if it had been lifeless then tonight would be ruined already. He held the hand of the arm looped in his as they sauntered down the corridor to the turbolift. "I am light on my feet Bettina we will be fine." As the turbolift door opened and closed after they entered he made eye contact "thank you. Just for being so friendly." He felt lucky to have met her, the years alone felt as if in a long ago past beside her.

Shrugging, she looked up at him, enjoying the feel of his hand on hers. "Welcome..." It was a little odd to her to be thanked for being friendly, a lot of people found her light attitude off-putting, but then, she figured, with people like Dr. Mott on the crew, she was boring-normal.

"Worth it to see the smile," she muttered, blushing hotly, then quickly adding, "besides, I owe you for not accidentally kicking my head in!"

"I am sorry about that too! I was running way to fast for where I was. That could have been ugly. I guess all is well that ends well? I was lucky you were so calm." Her hand was warm in his and he walked into the lounge on deck-7.

"And you were lucky it was me!" She looked up at him with a cheeky grin.
