Is There a Doctor in the House...

The doors of the shuttle slid open and the two hoverstretchers were moved out into the shuttlebay of the Mary Rose. On one stretcher was The Mary Rose's Chief Armory Officer, Micheal Robertson, who was securely strapped in to keep him from moving around. On the other, the ship's Chief Navigator, Dixoho Saa, she too was strapped to the stretcher, however, in her case, she was covered with several tubes and intravenous lines, all being used to save her life, due to the extreme pain she was currently feeling, from suffering from the bends.

"Report!" Lhaes called out as he ran towards the arrival, tricorder already in hand. "I need two beds cleared," he yelled over his shoulders, "call on all available medical staff to assist. Tox screen, blood type, I need all the works, stat!"

Luka, who had discarded all weaponry to guide in one of the hoverstretchers, narrowed his eyes at Lhaes for a short moment. He hadn't had time to meet the medical staff, but he could already tell how this was going to go. As he passed by Lhaes, he handed the other doctor a tricorder. "Basics for both are listed here. The only thing I don't have for certain is an accurate tox screen, as I assumed this vessel had toxicology facilities."

"Yes, it does. I am already doing it now." Leiddem already was dealing with toxicology. He had heard the screams from Dixoho as they had sedated her and he already knew whatever the bounty hunters had done to her must be bad and deeper than the bruises she currently wore.

Lhaes nodded in acknowledgement then frowned at his scan results. "Caisson's disease?" he queried, looking up at Luka, facing the tricorder towards him. "Can you confirm?" As a former swimmer, he was familiar with the term even though he never had gone any deeper than the bottom of the Academy pool. "If I'm right we need to put her in a pressure chamber as soon as possible and then gradually bring her back up to one bar of pressure. We can't treat the rest of her injuries until she's stabilized."

"I can," called Caden from the other room. He had to make a hustle from the planet's surface, after hearing something had gone down. The medic looked between Lhaes and Luka, before placing a hand on Dixoho's gurney. "I originally administered her first treatment. Once Leiddem has what he needs for toxicology, the pressure chamber is fired up for her."

Leiddem quickly did what he needed to get seeing the redhead was the priority with the formation of bubbles of inert gases within tissues of the body. "You can move her." He said simply.

Luka's eyes narrowed at the scene as he returned his tricorder to his pocket, turning to the security chief lying on the hoverstretcher. "I would recommend we get Mr. Robertson here a liquid IV and get to cleaning his lacerations. There's several bone fractures, including dislocations at both shoulders, but I'm afraid of any infections that might have been picked up. Who knows what's wandering about Azzia that can be picked up."

"Keep him fully tranqued," Lhaes ordered as he moved with his female patient as the gurney was moved. "You take care of Mr Robertson, I will take care of Miss Saa. Should he wake tell him as little as possible, and sedate him as soon as you can." He paused as he looked at Leiddem. "Let's get her in the tank, let's start with two bar of pressure and see if that settles her vitals."

"Um..." He glanced at Luka confused as to who to support but sighed as he started to move the gurney. Wasn't his place, he was there to help and the pair needed help urgently.

Luka was more than happy to wheel off Micheal off to the bed that had been cleared off, content to deal with this at a later moment. At this point, it was more of the patients than it was of their individual egos.
