Mazzin rubbed her thumb along the back of her hand as she stared at the doors in front of her. The lift was whisking her to the bridge, to the boss' office. First job, first meeting, first impression. Keeping her face blank was difficult, but she didn't want to give away her nerves from the get-go. Stepping off the lift as soon the doors opened Mazzin crossed to the door instructed in her welcome letter.

She tugged a moment on her suit jacket. Under it, she wore a deep square neck tank, with a fitted pencil skirt. She knew most of the crew was casual, however, she wanted to put her best foot forward. She tapped the call button and took a deep breath, tucking a lock of her hair behind her ear, waiting to be welcomed in.

Reuben looked up from his PaDD as the door chimed and smiled a little as he noticed the time. He liked people being punctual to say the least. He tugged his tee back down to try and look less haggard than he felt after the last few days. "Come in." He called out.

Mazzin stepped through the door and pasted a smile on her face. "Hello. I'm Mazzin Vayri, I'm the new accountant and secretary," she said with a cheery voice.

The man rose as she came in and raised an eyebrow. Whatever he has been expecting it wasn't this woman and he indicated the seat in front of her. "I guessed you were." He said with a small smile thinking she must have impressed Uhin if she got the job. He valued his First Mate's opinion as she kept telling him to call her.

Mazzin wasn't certain how to reply, she took the seat and settled in. "Were sir?" she asked. "Have I already offended you?" her brows furrowed a bit.

The man looked at her just as confused before he leant back in his chair looking her over again. "Not in the slightest. I am not planning on meeting any other crew members so you could only be Vayri." He said smiling a little wider at the woman. "So my first mate interviewed you... Any questions you would like to ask me?"

"I would like to know your expectations. A list of duties on an application is not the same as speaking to my actual boss and learning his expectations," she said with a smile. Out of her pocket, she unfolded and scribe scroll, a quick little sheet to take and log any notes, but small enough to fit in her small pocket.

“Well, you won’t be my Secretary or Accountant you will be the ship one while Reessem will deal with my stuff.” It wasn’t that he didn’t trust the woman in front of him he just didn’t know her and he needed his yeoman to possibly do sensitive work. “Accountant will be like anywhere else… ingoings and outgoings keeping us out of the red and manage crew accounts. As a secretary you will do document management, typing, preparing and collating department reports. You work with port officials to obtain the ship's clearance at every port, Supervision of passenger embarkation and disembarkation. You will responsible for the proper submission of reports and maintain passenger and crew manifests for onboard safety regulations and Federation requirements.” Was that everything? He thought to himself thinking he could just change the role to Purser from how Barton had it.

"That sounds very much like the role of purser," Mazzin said. "I'm curious why you choose to keep the role left to Accountant and Secretary, are there any duties of a Purser that you did not list here?" she chuckled. "I assumed the position was not labeled as such due to personal tastes," she mentioned.

The Russain wanted to chuckle as he realised she had clicked on. He liked that, he liked smart people on his crew. Didn't need dull people at all. "Ah no my dear you will learn on this ship that a lot of things can be accounted to the former Captain. You can blame that on Barton." The man said simply. It summed up so much on the ship, one word - Barton.

"I suppose this means I will need to study up on this... Barton," she said with a smile.
