Home early, Tevir did as he usually did when he came home from work. He walked inside, opened all the windows and the back doors and then walked out into the garden.

It was a place of serenity, but it was also the place where he mot felt he could be himself. Just himself, away from prying eyes, where he was able to expess himself. This, in his experience, seemed important to his bondmate, the ability to at least be able to show her emotions in the privacy of their home.

As such, Tevir had mellowed considerably and was starting to get comfortable with being at least somewhat emotive. He turned when he heard the door, waiting to welcome the woman he adored home.

The woman came in looking tired and pale. "Hello." She said seeing him turn obviously having heard her come in. She smiled walking over to him offering a kiss before anything else.

Tevir wrapped his arms around her, accepting the kiss but not returning it. "Are you alright?" he asked softly, while guiding her towards one of the benches in their garden, "you do not look well my beloved. Are you ill?"

The woman was surprised at him not returning the kiss for a moment before she was guided to the bench. "Just a little tired I guess." She shrugged.

Concern crept across his face as he studied her. "Do you want to go inside and lie down? Would you like me to prepare a bath?"

"I will be fine with a sonic shower if I smell." She whispered softly watching his as he studied her. She just felt tired which according to her healer was normal.

"You do not smell," Tevir assured her, "I just want you to be comfortable. And I want to take care of you." He reached to caress her cheek. "Contrary to outward perception, I do love you. I may not always show it, or say it, but I would never lie to you regarding my feelings for you."

The woman nodded, it was unlikely that she smelt after working in the lab all day but you never knew. The woman sighed and looked up at the bright sky. "I know." She said softly, she had been growing more and more accustomed to his way.

"Will you allow me to?" he asked, giving her an earnest look. He felt it was his one duty even though he hadn't been lying to her. He felt it was his duty as her husband to take care of his pregnant wife. Especially when she was feeling exhausted and looking so pale. He swept her carefully up into his arms and carried her inside. "You will feel better after a warm bath," he promised her.

The woman let him sweep her up into his arms but it didn't change her feelings on it when she thought that it was a waste of water. "Would you join me?" She wondered thinking it would be less wasteful with them both.

"If you wish.." Though he knew she wanted him to, she always did when he offered to fill up the tub. "You do seem to enjoy water, would you like me to make a pool in our garden?" He would do anything to keep her happy, because seeing her happy made him feel better too.

“I grew up here then moved from the desert to pretty much a forest. I appreciate water.” She told him softly. “I don’t think you could here but very sweet of you to offer.”

"It is our garden, we can do with it as we please," Tevir commented as he set her down on the bathroom floor and got the water going in the tub. "If you want a pool, then we shall have a pool and we will have trees to provide shade. We already have our own water reclamation unit so we would not be wasting resources." He smiled encouragingly at her as he peeled the gown she was wearing from her body, offering gentle caresses as he did so.

The woman smiled at him as he took her clothing off of. "If you wish." She said with a shrug at him, if he thought it was possible she wouldn't complain. It was slowly becoming her home and he was determined to help her do that.

"But do you wish it?" he countered, wanting her to make a decision on this. When the tub was filled, he held out his hand to help her into the water. When she was in, he stripped down himself and glided in beside her. When he was settled, he circled his arms around her, drawing her against him. "Comfortable?" he asked softly.

The woman sighed happily as the water surrounded her, warming and sweet smelling. "It would be nice but I would hate to waste resources." She told him watching as he stripped down before he slipped in behind her. "Very much." She admitted.

"Hm-mmm," Tevir murmured, snuggling her close. "How do you really feel? When is your next appointment?"

The man she knew had never been this close with anyone before and it warmed her to know that she was the first. “Tired. But that is expected from what the healer said.” She leant back and wrapped his arm around her stomach. “Next month.”

Reaching for the washing foam, he poured a generous amount on his free hand and started to rub her in with it. "How long will this tiredness last? Surely not your entire pregnancy?" 10 Months of exhaustion, that had to break her at some point and he was going to do his damnest to make sure that didn't happen.

"I'm not sure." She admitted softly. In a human, a pregnancy, the first and last trimester were the ones where the mothers were exhausted beyond belief.

"I would not want you to exhaust yourself," Tevir commented, shifting so he could properly rinse the soap from her body, "however I trust you to do what you feel is best for you." It was his attempt to suggest she reduce her workload, but he wasn't telling her to stop working. He would never do that because he knew she enjoyed her work. And he knew she'd be miserable if she were to stay at home and that's the last thing he wanted.

"You would know if I was Tevir and I am pretty sure you would know before I did." She reminded them as they were linked. He would know her feelings on things even if she was hiding in her work sometimes.

"Quite possibly," Tevir agreed, "but I would never tell you what to do, only you can decide such. I just..." He hesitated. "We tried for so long, I know what it would do to us if we were to lose our child. And you would be utterly miserable." He leaned forward to kiss her. "I love you Ka'See, and I cannot bear to see you miserable. I want you to be happy."

The woman froze at the words he spoke to her, it was a logical route and she knew it. "I want to be happy as well." She assured softly.

"Then we will work on making it happen," Tevir promised her, "I will do anything to make it happen."
