ON:

Jasper arrived first to get their makeshift party with a smile on his face. It wasn't often that a woman let alone two wanted to get drunk with him. Grabbing a shower, and some fresh clothes. He had grabbed his whole stash of booze, a crate filled with several unopened bottles ranging Jonny Walker Scotch to Romulan Ail and ready to be downed. The crate wasn't huge but there were enough spirits to make all three comatose.

Three chairs and a table sat near the center and he had dug out a holocandle to try and add some ambiance. Other than that he had thrown some pillows and blankets in a corner, just in case no one was sober enough to make it back to their rooms.

"Music," he thought aloud as he stood looking at the table, "we need some music."

Eden just stood back when she entered. Jasper looked like he had things planned. She was nervous though. She didn't generally drink. Even with Sebastian, she had only occasionally had something. She just didn't like the idea of not being in control of herself. "Need any help?"

The man turned to face Eden and chuckled, "well we have no decorations, if we need them, I don't have glasses or food, we need that, and no music."

She shook her head. "All right, start from the basics. I'll be back with food, the computer probably has some kind of music on file though I can't guarantee it will be anything we want to listen to. Most of the computer probably got erased when Starfleet got rid of her but there might be something left. Give me ten minutes. Entertain Cassie while I'm gone. Now is your chance to make a move," Eden winked at him and was gone.

Jasper chuckled and shook his head as he watched Eden disappear. "She's not crazy enough for that," he muttered. He walked over towards the table and sat the candle in the center then took the box over to a nearby ledge and began lining up the bottles of booze to be easily seen and used, "looks pretty good."

Cassie had been pretty quiet as she entered carrying booze and packets of snacks as Eden ran off. "Am I late?" She asked not sure if she was on time or not. She had been let free to grab some stuff.

The man's face lit up as he saw his friend and chuckled at the question, "you are the party Cassie, how could you possibly be late?" He motioned towards the table, "I didn't bring some things so Eden went to get them."

The man walked towards the table himself, "I see you brought your own hooch but on the ledge over there I've got some you're welcome to."

"Thanks." The woman said shyly. It was just awkward now as the other woman left, she did not want to get anyone's hopes up.

Eden returned a bit later and was almost sorry she had to interrupt. She was really hoping that Cassie would see that Jasper liked her and he seemed like a nice guy, not the type to just decide he was done with her and leave. "I brought food," she said eventually.

"Sounds good," Cassie said smiling a little. It was nice of them to try and cheer her up. She was sure all she wanted to do was drown her sorrows and collapse in bed but there they were trying to cheer her up and get her out in the world.

"Soooooo . . . ." Eden said, not trying to hide the curiousness in her voice. "Did you two talk while I was gone?" Eden set down the tray of things she'd scrounged from the mess hall and let her eyes drift back and forth between the two of them.

"Not really," Jasper said obviously not catching onto what Eden was trying to communicate.

He walked over to the wall ledge where he hat set his bottles and grabbed some scotch, "what, besides drinking do you two have in mind?"

Eden tried to look innocent. "Oh I don't know, a good sharing session . . . get all of our thoughts and feelings out there on the table."

"I suddenly remembered why I didn't get invited to those all-girl sleepovers," Jasper chuckled as he sat at the table and poured himself a glass, "but alright if Cassie wants that I'm all in."

"I do not want to overly share. I think I have done enough sharing for a little bit but I would like to listen to you guys and how you are getting on." They had not caught up recently to even discuss things so it would be nice even if the reason that they were together was bad.

"I don't really have anything to share either. New boyfriend, you know about him. If the ship would stop trying to kill us, we'd be doing fine." Eden shrugged as if that were just another day at the office.

"We could talk about how I'm not sure I want to move onto the Yeager," Jasper offered, "I, well I like this place."

"Well we do not know that is going to happen yet." Cassie piped up as she poured a big drink. "It might be useless to us. We have no idea what is really going on over there or why it has been abandoned." She added taking a few sips.

"True," Eden said softly. This was one of those conversations where she felt as if she'd already said everything that was on her mind. "I think we should just try to enjoy ourselves in the moment. Do we want some soft music or something or shall we just continue talking?"

"Music would be nice," Cassie spoke up. They didn't need to speak any longer, just could just enjoy the music and the company. It would be just as nice, if not nicer than talking. Music allowed your mind to wander and be free. It was what she needed at the moment.
