"Come on boys, let's get moving!"

Sure, Tucker ran the Operations department. Alika got that. But the prospect of being able to run into another old Starfleet vessel and almost freely explore the whole thing without consequence? She was absolutely on board. With people involved.

She saw the horror vids.

So, after peeking her head into the Rose's Ops center and loudly declaring she was going to hop over to this 'abandoned' Yeager, and whomever was listening should totally follow her (there might have been a please in there somewhere), she was off. In her hand was a large spanner, on the off chance she ended up needing it to defend herself with. One never knew when the dust bunnies would pop up and try to murder them all.

The moment she stepped into the Yeager's old Operations Center, she whirled to the small group she seemed to have gathered via the loud shouting she was doing all the way down and into the depths of the ship, smiling wide. "So, shall we poke around? Or do I get to have all the fun on my own?"

"So long as you take one of my team with you, you can have all the fun you like," Jake replied, nursing a cup of coffee and doing his best not to get involved in the excitement everyone else was having. "She might be abandoned, but that doesn't mean she's safe."

"As if the other ship is," Liha remarked, rolling her eyes. "The universe is full of dangerous things." She picked up her tool kit and checked the knife stowed in her tunic. "You just need to resolve that you're one of them."

Jasper had crossed his arms protectively as he listened. He tilted his head knowing what needed to be done, "I'll go." The response was somewhat abrupt and his stance changed from passive, almost pensive to one far more assertive dropping his hands to his side, "already have my tool belt on, things will keep here, at least for a little while."

Cassie said nothing as the group moved across the evacuation tunnels and into the ship operations center. It smelled dusty and there was something that smelled of death but the woman was sure the humans would not be able to smell it. "I would like to head to science if possible" She announced to everyone.

"I have no objection," Liha said, moving toward the door. She could smell the hint of old decomp as well, though it wasn't unexpected on an abandoned war ship. But there was something else... she wasn't quite sure what, but perhaps the answer could be found if they could get the systems in science up and running.

Jake put his drink down. "We've not done a full clearance of that area yet. I'll come with in case you find something," he declared. "Beats staying up here on my own, too," he added with a slight shiver.

"Sir," Ryder stepped in, having come behind everyone else to make sure the odd noises they kept hearing weren't coming after them, "If you don't mind, I'd like to go down with the science team as well." His eyes flickered over to Cassie for the briefest of moments, before he gave who had come to know as the head of the security team.

"Great!" Alika piped in, grabbing Jasper's arm without any warning, already continuing to trek further into the operations center. "That'll leave us closest to the door in case any zomboids come out a' spookin'."

"Unless they're following us," Liha tossed back with an over-the-shoulder smirk. "Then they'll eat you first."

Cassie was sure no one was eating her today, she had so much anger in her, she was sure no one or nothing would dare. "So we are splitting up?" Cassie confirmed as she watched the other people moving away from them heading further into the operations deck.

"I thought we were heading through Ops and then down to Science," Liha replied. "But if you want to go straight to Science, I'll join you."

"Yeah, I am going straight to science." There was nothing the woman wanted in Operations so Science was where she was going. Operations were Alika and Jasper's domain, not hers, she had come to get over and now she was there she could peel off and go her own route. "You and anyone else is more than welcome to join me."

Ryder was already at Cassie's side, even before he was given an affirmative. He couldn't quite figure why she was so serious into the idea of splitting up, but he wasn't going to let her out of his sight. Permission be damned.

"Why are we splitting up?" Jasper furrowed his brow and looked between the two women. His arm was still being pulled and he really didn't mind it seemed rather foolish to split up without having investigated the ship more first, "look, this place was probably abandoned for a reason so why are we tempting fate?"

"Don't worry, Ryder will keep an eye on you and call in any help that's needed," Jake said, trying to reassure the young man. "So far as we can tell the ship and everyone aboard were lost years ago - nobody could have realistically survived on board alive, so there's nothing to worry about." Despite his own mild misgivings, Jake felt like he had to lead a bit by example in this situation; Jasper was probably going to start scaring other people at this rate.

"That seems a rather ironic assumption, given that some here survived for over a century in a situation where no one might have been realistically expected to still be alive," Liha remarked. "...speaking of which, has anyone checked the transport buffers?"

"Alright, alright," Jasper chuckled raising a hand in mock protest. "let's do this and yes, I'll check the buffers, promise."
