It was not long as she appeared across from him in the darkened booth and set two large drinks down on the table. One for her, one for him.

Jake's expression remained neutral as he finally tore his eyes away from the blonde performer to the Betazoid sat nearby. He said nothing, just sipped the drink silently as he waited for her to impart further 'lessons' to him.

The woman just sat them watching the show for a moment before she looked back at the man. "So?" She wondered simply flicking her hair over her shoulder.

"So what?" he fired back coolly. "Want me to start gushing out my feelings now? Confide my every secret for you to exploit?"

"No, I am not an interrogator." She shot back. "I would have heard it all before anyway." She lied. This was the first time that she had revealed to anyone that she helped the Betazoid rebels or was anything other than a simple night club worker.

"Oh, I'm sure," Jake said sarcastically. "You're an interrogator in all but name. All of your kind are," he added sourly.

"Of course we are." The woman answered with a roll of her eyes. "Would you like to dance?" She offered as the show turned from women dancing to a band playing old classics.

He had to think about it a little. His mood had definitely lessened with all she'd exposed him to. But the opportunity to get his hands on those curves was a little too tempting to pass up. His leer returned as he stared at her. "I could be persuaded," he replied, downing the rest of his glass.

"You drink like you are dying of thirst." Ledeya mused as she drunk her own drink at a more leisurely pace before standing offering her hand again. The drink was strong and exactly what she needed to celebrate the first of the baby and to calm down after it.

This time he took her hand, firmly. As he stood he pulled on her arm and drew her close, his half-sneer still in place. "Like I said before. You're a tall glass of water. And I'm thirsty."

"Well, I am glad I can be of assistance in your dehydration." The woman muses as she wrapped an arm around him as she was pulled close to him.

"That's more like it. Less of the re-education, more of doing your actual job." Jake held her tight as they made their way to the dance floor. The older songs weren't his style, but he didn't care; he wanted the thrill of taking back a little control, and using Ledeya for that was perfectly acceptable in his mind.

Ledeya snorted. "This is not my job," Ledeya commented but it was neither here nor there or as they moved into the crowd.

"For tonight it is," he retorted. "Unless you're going to make it too much effort. Plenty of others around here would be happy to spend the night with an Imperial Starfleet officer."

Ledeya let out a small giggle as she hide her face for a moment before looking back up at him. “You have great faith in your abilities here Lieutenant.” She dared him, a teasing smile appearing on her pale pink lips.

"You don't," he noted. "Many have underestimated me before. Few of them still draw breath." He gave her a slightly malicious look as his grasp on her tightened just a fraction. "But you don't scare easily. Makes it more of a challenge...and more entertaining."

“We shall see.” Ledeya said simply as she moved against him with a smirk. It was fun to let loose and she did not do that for everyone.

Jake let himself enjoy the moment of control and intimacy as the music played. He didn't need to say anything; he was just obvious enough about showing-off his conquest to any other interested parties in the room without speaking a word, simply by holding her close - almost possessively so.

"Should I expect a private dance after this is done? You had plenty of spaces in the back..." he suggested after a while.

"You think my rooms are back there?" Ledeya wondered turning to look up at him as she saw the possessive look about him. "Do not look like that no one else is getting a private dance tonight and you have no right to look like that." It was not her style.

"Ugh, you sound like..." he didn't finish his sentence. A guilty part of his mind flashed back to Serra. She'd said something similar to him the first time they'd met. Maybe that was what he was seeing in this woman. Maybe that was why he was both interested and angry at the same time. "Forget it. I can get what I want elsewhere then."

Ledeya did not pry, it was not her place to pry anymore than she already had. "If that is what you want." Ledeya stepped back slowly. "or you come back to mine?"

His eyebrow crept up at the offer. That was more like it. "Privacy after all," he remarked with a sly look. "I'm starting to like where this is going."

Ledeya snorted as she stepped up to him and ran a finger down his chest. This man was intriguing and infuriating at the same time but it was impossible to just walk away right now but the crowd suddenly doing the same as them now. "You were liking it from the second you spotted me." She whispered in his ear.

"You're good, I'll admit. I can see why they made you an inquisitor. Shame you're not still working for the Empire." He smirked. "A shame for them, at least."

"I keep telling you I am not and never have been an inquisitor." The woman said with a smirk back at him. "I was a doctor and when Betazed burned I was moved here." She was not going to admit that her boss was employed by the empire to keep men and women happy.

"You were on Betazed when it burned?" he asked cautiously, ignoring the part about not being an inquisitor. They were all inquisitors, in one way or another.

"No. I was spared that mind altering event." She assured quickly feeling how cautious he was. Those Betazoid's were never the same, they were the ones to be scared off, they had been damaged.

"You were one of the lucky ones, then," Jake noted. "I saw it with my own eyes. You don't forget a sight like that."

"What about this interrogator who is under your skin?" The woman wondered moving her hands to his hips squeezing a little as the music slowed.

"Agrax." He almost smirked. "She's certainly competent. Ruthless, calculating, deadly. If she didn't belong to the Butcher already I might even be interested." He touched Ledeya's jawline with the tips of his fingers. "I don't remember if she was there. She would probably tell me, if I asked." He didn't want to, though. Alexis was a different prospect to the woman stood in front of him.

Ledeya froze like a shower of ice had been dropped down her back. "The Butcher?" The woman hissed looking him up and down almost taking a step back despite his touch on her jawline.

Jake blinked. "Yes. I came in on the Fenrir." He examined her expression. She didn't hide her feelings well. "That bothers you. Of course it would, being what you are...but there's something else, isn't there?" His fingers drifted closer to her throat again. "Tell me."

"He is here?" She whispered barely able to be here. Of course, he would be there if the Fenrir was there. The base was the only shore leave spot on this side of the quadrant that welcomed Imperial Officers without a bit of disgust for what they stood for. Everyone turned up there eventually. "I just knew him once upon a time or more specifically knew his wife." It was known that the man had, had a wife in the Chief Engineer of the Fenrir once upon a time but it was not well known that she had not been Terran.

He studied her face intently. For someone who had apparently trained and honed her telepathy, she had suddenly developed a lousy poker face. Then again, mentioning the Butcher to a Betazoid would have that effect. Unless she was playing him, of course. "Good for you. I plan on killing him sometime, so feel free to say a farewell when you get the chance."

"I never liked him. I had no idea what his wife saw in him," The woman finally said glancing around as a few people stared at them standing there frozen on the dance floor. "Dance." She whispered to him. They could discuss it another time. Most Imperial Starfleet Officers had that dream but very few got close to the poster boy.

"You're nervous," he observed. "More than most. I know most Betazoids would be, to hear that he was in port, but yours is...different. Tell me."

Ledeya was nervous and it was not a good feeling at all. She had never expected to be in the same place as that man. "Please just dance and act normal." She whispered almost pressing her lips to his.

With the possessive smirk still there, he took the initiative and put a firm kiss on her lips as they drew closer to him. Not a romantic or tender one; an aggressive, hard kiss. Showing her he was stronger and in control. "What can I say?" he murmured casually. "You told me to act normal."

The hostess did not pull back or flinch, her hand moving to his arm. "Then act it better." Ledeya prompted with a small pointed expression as she pressed against him.

He snorted a little, amused by the whole situation. "I'm not the one that's worried," he replied. "Maybe you should try to encourage me to be more compliant, hmm?"

Ledeya frowned up at him as her plump lips pressed into his, her mouth opened slightly. Not once did she seem to resist, or to flinch, or to show any signs of apprehension to the situation that was suddenly presenting itself. She should have disappeared when the mention of The Butcher started. She could no understand what he was doing this far from the homeworlds again. "I can encourage." She whispered pleasantly.

"Reconsidering that suggestion we find somewhere more private?" he asked. "I'm sure you have quarters on the station. Somewhere nice and quiet where we can..." his hand slid down her body. "Talk?"

“I never said no when you considered some where more private.” Ledeya was not sure that talking was what he wanted but she dared not go into his mind again so quickly. He seemed to know when she did that and it was frustrating, she hated that some Terrans could do that. “Fine. Come with me then.” She whispered, weaving her fingers through his and led him through the crowds of people that had now entered the club since his arrival hours ago.
