Jake was dreaming. Dreaming of...distant shores. A strange world he didn't really remember. It was a long way away, yet strangely familiar, as though he should remember it. Bardat. Wait...Bardat? What was that?

Starting to come around, he rolled over in bed, letting out a little sigh.

That didn't sound right...

Suddenly he was a little more awake and alert. He rolled over to check on Eden, except she wasn't there. Maybe she'd gotten up already. He wasn't even sure what time it was. He brushed some hair out of his face. Wait...hair? He didn't have hair that long.

Pushing up from his bed and to his feet, Jake almost hit the floor immediately. His normal center of gravity was all wrong. And everything looked bigger, like he'd lost a few inches. And the room wasn't right - this wasn't his room.

"Eden?" he wondered aloud. He touched his throat; his voice coming out at least a couple of octaves higher than his normal strong, masculine bass. "What...?" Was he getting some sort of illness? He looked down at his hand as it left his throat. Gone were his strong, weathered fingers. Instead he was looking at smaller, angular digits with clear and neatly-manicured nails.

"E-Eden...!" he repeated, his voice still coming out far less like his old one. He looked down from his hands at his chest. His normally ripped and muscular abs had been replaced by... "Eden! I have...I have...breasts!!" He grasped hold of both of them with his new hands, instantly regretting the action as a wave of odd sensations came over him. Recoiling in a mix of horror and curiosity, he stared down for several long seconds.

I have breasts... he repeated silently. I have... His eyeline dropped lower. An expletive escaped his lips as he realised it wasn't just his upper half that was anatomically different. He was 100% biologically not-male. That much was clear.

"What the hell...is happening..." he took a few cautious steps towards the bathroom. He was unsteady as he moved, needing to re-find his balance in this new form that was so removed from his own.

Reaching the doorway to the next room, he could see the shape forming in the mirror. He felt his heart pounding as he recognised the dark shoulder-length hair, pointed ears poking out from between the strands. Those familiar cool and piercing dark brown eyes staring back at him.

"No..." he whispered.

And then he let out a definitively unmasculine scream.
