Vriaral was sure that this was going to end in more tears than moving ships had already caused Sara. He knew why she had brought him along as he had no ambition for her spot but he knew she was enraged over being moved from the flagship to the butcher’s ship of all people. What had happened to Kita to have the majority of his crew moved.

“You need to calm down or you are going to have no Engineers left.” Vriaral hissed as they approached main Engineering.

"Obviously, we have failed," Sera stated plainly. "Either we fix what is wrong, or we will be join them if the butcher finds our work problematic." She had always prided herself as being the best engineer in the fleet. Sera had not known what she had done wrong, but it would never happen again. And, this would not be used to take her spot, Sera had taken more care to watch over her back and had begun carrying a concealed knife for her protection.

"We have not failed otherwise we would be dead. Something must have happened to Kita for the ship to have that happened and the crew disbanded. Should be proud to be on the Butcher ship. It's the next best thing," Vriaral had no doubt about that in his mind.

"Good point," Sera nodded. "If he keeps up the pace, we might be sitting on the Imperial flagship in no time. Just have to make sure no one steals Engineering from me."

"Is it not why you keep me around?" Vriaral muttered as the door opened to Engineering leaving the discussion over why he remained open and unsaid.

With a slight smirk, Sera led the way into Main Engineering. She looked around at the workers and gazed at the engine outputs. "Only point-zero-one above recommended specs, what kind of wimp was the last chief?"

"Maybe one who did not want us to blow up Chief." A voice called from one of the consoles and the familiar form of Selina Fenruse stood them. The Inquisitor had been waiting for them both to arrive. Vriaral's face broke into a grin as he took in the woman but said no more.

"Inquisitor," Sera acknowledged. She never trusted their group, always on the lookout for traitors with varying degrees of truth behind it. Sera was an engineer and usually below the higher political considerations, but that did not mean that she wanted to be on the wrong side of an Inquisitor.

"You do not need to quite as... on guard," Selina commented on usually wearing a pair of trousers and a slinky top. Normally she wore a barely their dress of varying shades. "I was asked by Gregnol to look Engineering over to make sure it was... worthy enough." She said smirking as she looked Vriaral up and down.

"It will get there," Sera nodded, looking at the potential buried in whatever was being done down here before the Butcher took over. "How much time do we have?"

"Days. We are going hunting." Selina said holding out the hypo spanner she had been playing with to the Sera. Vriaral was very confused about it all the former Engineer had never in three years on crossing paths had she ever been allowed to get back to her former roots of Engineering.

Hiding her inner feelings, Sera looked around Main Engineering calculating the time it would take to elevate it to her satisfaction. "I better get to work," she replied. "What kind of staff do I have to work with?" she asked, refraining from pointing out the fact that most of the crew had been sent away.

"Everyone is loyal to Gregnol," Selina said without a hint that she was giving a warning to the pair. "Like we all are." She added as a crewman came into Engineering.

"Ma'am." The man said smirking.

"Rank and name," Sera asked sternly. She was not in the mood for games, for an inquisitor to be this involved something had to be up. But, she could not let the fact that she was paranoid be too obvious. Engineers had a shortened lifespan anyway.

"Ensign Samual Kain." The man answered looking at first the Chief Engineer and then the Interrogator who was stood there. What was she doing there? Gregnol had not mentioned he would have to deal with his witch at all.

"It is not very nice calling me a witch," Selina said with narrowed eyes.

Samual coughed and rolled his eyes. "Well, when you stop being one I will Ma'am but I was sent to show our new Chief Engineer around I guess you have been the one in the meantime and why Gregnol did not tell me anything."

"I guess we have a tour to start," Sera began. She purposefully looked over the fact that the man said enough to give him a few hours in the torture chamber. She flashed a look to the Samuel that screamed not to start anything under her watch.

The man for his stupidity just rolled his eyes and looked at Selina pointedly before he started his door leading the Chief Engineering away. "Did you really have to do that Lina?" Vriaral wondered watching the pair walk away.

"Sometimes V." She said revealing they had a familiarity enough to use nicknames. "Just keep your pet Terran out of trouble. This ship..." The words were lost as the pair moved away.
