Vinny grabbed his tricorder and placed it in his pocket, his coffee mug, and blueberry muffin and walked into Recovery to check on his patient. "How ya feeling, Mikey?" he asked before taking a bite of his muffin. "You, ah, you do it right when you decide to make an entrance."

Micheal was slowly regaining consciousness, following his near death return to his home galaxy. Cracking his eyes open, it took him a few beats to realize just where he was. "Am..am I on ...on the Rosie?"

The surgeon placed his right hand into his labcoat pocket and exchanged the muffin for a hyposray while reading the monitors over Michael's bed. "Here ya go, something to wake you up a bit, but also to relieve some of the pain.". He activated the hyposray against the young man's neck. "Yeah, you're on the Rosie. Unbelievably, so am I. I was rather shocked to find you on my surgery table. What the hell happened to you?"

As soon as the ingredients of the hypo entered his blood stream, Micheal woke up fully, with a (mostly) clear head. That's when his eyes bugged out a bit. "Uncle V?!" He tried to sit up, but the pain in his body stopped him. "What...when did you get here?"

Smiling down at Michael, he replied after he replaced the hypospray with his tricorder. "Ah, a couple days now, maybe longer?" He ran a quick scan over his patient and then activated the back of the bed to raise up, allowing Michael to sit a little more comfortable. "I left the ranch a little over a week ago. I got bored working at the hospital and just happened to find that this ship wasn't a Starfleet-yes-sir type of vessel and I could get back to less politics and more treating patients." He took a sip of his coffee and sat down on the edge of the bed. "You were a friggin mess, Mikey. What the hell happened and you are damn lucky I was on this ship. You Robertsons are the luckiest people in the galaxy."

Micheal was still coming to terms with the fact that the man he knew as 'Uncle Vinny', was not only standing here, in the ship that Micheal never thought he would see again, but, had saved his life, yet again. He had known the older man his whole life to this point. He was his father's oldest friend and the man who, thankfully, was visiting his parents the night his mother went into labor. Doctor "Uncle" Vincent Anjes worked very hard, during the twenty hour delivery, and brought both Micheal and his twin sister, Emma, into the world. From that point on, he was more than a fixture at the ranch, he was family.

Micheal sighed before responding. "It's along story, Unc. Started with me getting word that the man who hired the scum who came into my home and..." he choked on the words, new pain rising in his heart from the memories.

"It's okay, Mikey," Vinny said softly while putting a hand on his shoulder, "take your time.". Vinny activated the comm in there room for the ship's captain. "Captain, this is Doctor Anjes. The patient is awake and in recovery."

A female voice came through the speaker and confirmed gruffly that the Captain would be down in a few moments as they had other issues with refugee helping.

Micheal shook his head, to dispell the demons he carried, and continued. "Found out where he was. So, Johnathan and I, I'm sure you've met him, he's a good kid, and a better pilot than I ever could be." Shaking his head again, he got back on track. "Anyway, John and I headed out and, after about a week, we caught up to the scumbag and disabled his shuttle, an old Klingon one, kinda like my old one, but crappies. I beamed over and we started to struggle. Suddenly, there was an overload of some kind, and we were suddenly yanked into a wormhole."

"The ride was beyond rough. Rougher than that crazy bull i pulled at the rodeo where I got my first win, remember it?"

"I remember having to set that broken left clavicle you got from it too, just as stubborn as your father." Vincent shook his head slowly. "You were the only one beamed into Sickbay, Michael. Maybe the Captain knows more."

“I know nothing more.” Said the person who looked like Eden as they walked in hearing half the conversation. The woman strode in with ‘Liha’ in tow they had been discussing the issue in sickbay quickly on the way from the Bridge to the sickbay. It was a relief to finally have someone in the know of what could potentially blow up in their faces.

Vincent looked over his shoulder and nodded to the two. "Thank you for coming down, Captain. Mister Robertson here has some questions that I can't answer." he looked back at Michael. "Strange shit happened here since your last time on board, Mikey."

Micheal’s brow furrowed as he heard Uncle Vinny rather woman whom entered sickbay 'Captain'. "Uh, its a pleasure to meet you, Captain. What happened to Reuben?"

Reuben shared a look for a moment with the two men in the know and laughed. “Micheal, I am Gregnol.” He admitted with a shrug. Not sure how to explain it at all. It was not something that he had, had time to consider.

Micheal was clearly confused. "Uuuuh..Hey, Unc, um, you sure I'm not concussed or anything?" He then turned deadly serious. "Is Di okay?"

“Been better.” Gregnol said simply. He was not going to go into details there and then about the woman. He was not overly sure how they had left things.

"Yes, you were concussed," answered Vinny, "and yes, it's complicated around here, recently. There was an event that happened and people's awareness became Yatzeed into other people's bodies. We are working through it, but it's... it's a real mess and due to circumstances we have to keep it kind of under wraps."

Micheal looked from Reuben to Vinny and back again. "I understand, Cap'n. I'll help out in any way I can." He started to try to get up off the biobed, cringing as he did so.

"Keeping things under wraps - away from the Rangers - is something we've all agreed on," Jake said, finally entering the conversation. He'd not actually met Michael properly before. In fact, Jake had come on board as the man's replacement. The incident with Dixoho and the bedroom had been a strange part of that experience. "I assume you know most of the people on board. The ones that do could use someone around able to help cover for them when needed."

As Micheal finished sitting up, going against the screaming protestations of his injured body, he nodded as he panted slightly through the pain. Though red-faced from the exertion, the large Texan slid off the biobed. Only to collapse onto the deck in excruciating pain.

Gregnol moved to help but her body was nowhere near what it was in his body. “Yeah, I need some help. He is a stubborn lump.” He said frowning as everyone moved to help get Michael back on the biobed.

Vinny placed an arm under the man's other arm and helped Gregnol lift, Michael, back onto the bed. "I love you Mikey, but you're an ass and as dense as a neutron, sometimes. The sedation hasn't worn off yet, so next time you fall, there you stay, son.". He turned to the Captain. "If you think this one is stubborn, you should meet his father."

"Careful, Unc," Micheal grunted through clenched teeth as he was helped back onto the biobed. Once laying back down, he breathed heavily in relief. "I...heh..I'll tell him...tell him you said that." He gave an exhausted grin as his finished speaking, sweat starting to flow freely from his pores.

"Rest," Jake affirmed, crossing Liha's arms. "The other things can wait. And...we'll send Dixoho down to see you."

Gregnol raised an eyebrow, not at all sure that was a good idea but what else could they do to get him to settle down and to allow himself to be fixed up. "Once she has gotten us to the refugees sure." Gregnol finally resolved himself to the fireworks that was going to happen.

Eyes closed and feeling waves of pain wash through his body, Micheal was about to respond to Reuben, when Vinny spoke first.

"I agree, and Mister Robertson is in no condition for conjugal visits," Vinny remarked as he waved his tricorder over Michael. "And with all due respects, visitation time is over. The patient needs to rest and probably contact his family and I need to give him a verbal lashing that is best if done in private. If anything changes in his condition, I will contact you, immediately."

"I am sure it won't be a conjugal visit." Gregnol assured quickly. Robinson would have to survive the verbal attack from first the Doctor and then the one he was sure the Navigator was going to give him. "It is nice to see you alive before Dixoho is done with you."

Even through the pain, Micheal managed to give Reuben a shaky thumbs up. "I...i...uh...aim..to please...Cap'n." With that, the last of his energy, the big Texan passed out.
