Mission 8 - Shattered
667 words - 1.3 OF Standard Post Measure
Tali approached Tucker casually. "Mr. Youngblood, nice to see you again," she said keeping her face cold, but her eyes were near dancing remembering their last night together. It had been beyond memorable.
Tucker smiled at Tali, although it was a more than a little sly and he had a glint in his eye, "Please, call me Tucker. It's good to see you too, you look well."
"As do you. Been keeping busy?" she asked snagging a glass from a passing server and taking a sip. She stood a little closer to him than was proper, but at the same time, it was about time that people begin to understand that they were close. Their plans were developing, the idea of them becoming governors was still a tantalizing idea.
"Far too busy, but that's the life of operations on a starship," Tucker flashed Tali a charming grin. "You and your sister keeping busy? I haven't heard of any high profile kills recently."
Tali thought back to the man they had hunted and killed only a few days ago. "Nothing high profile, just a sniveling spy.... my sister got distracted however and I had to finish it myself, it ruined the fun." she said with a heavy sigh. She tipped her head, "I look forward to another hunt soon." she said.
"You both seem to enjoy the hunt, at least that's what I've always thought," Tucker smirked at Tali. "Although she seems to like chaos a little more than you do."
Tali glanced towards where her sister was talking with a wrinkle nosed alien, she made a face. What was her twin doing? "I can't seem to get her to use her chaos in a more effective manor. Her ability to strike fear in to the heart of our prey is unmatched by any one, but her distraction and her need to break every plan... its frustrating." she watched Tucker for a moment. "She will need to be controlled or.... dealt with in the future." she said, hating her own words, but she was a ruthless for a reason.
"Something to worry about another day," Tucker replied with a half smile. "I can understand how it would be frustrated, but what I know of that engineer she seems to be flirting with she's the opposite of chaos. Maybe it'll be good for your sister."
Tali placed her hand over her face, "Seriously..." she grumbled. "I may have to remove her tonight before she gets us killed." she growled. She looked back at Tucker, "Or I let her get herself killed and you and I just disappear." she winked.
"I vote you leave her to her own devices, you're not responsible for everything she does," Tucker shrugged his shoulders. "You might even find you can relax and enjoy yourself."
"Oh I wish I could relax." she stepped a little closer and flickered her eyes up at him, fluttering her lashes. "I would ask you help me with that." she purred.
"Once this is over," Tucker winked at her. "We'll make our escape."
Tali bit her lower lip, "Alright alright." she moved away a little sliding in closer to his side, "Have you given any more thoughts to our ideas?" she asked him quietly as they started to walk around the room.
"A subject best left for when we're alone," Tucker flashed her a big grin. "Think you can come back to my room after the party?"
Tali's grin matched Tuckers before she took a long drink from her glass, "I suppose that could be arranged, however I doubt there will be much talking." she said. "We won't have a lot of time, and I have other ideas." she winked, she felt a thrill rush through her thinking about it. She needed to change the subject quickly before she tried to convince him to leave the party early.
"Any thing interesting happening here since you got back from vacation?" she asked him casually as they began to mingle again.
