As he rematerialized aboard the Cosmos many memories were brought back for Captain Adamya. He had spent the majority of his career aboard the ship, it had healed him and his love of exploration after the horror of the Dominion War. The transporter room was exactly the same and he half expected to see Petty Officer Harrison at the console. He turned his head to greet his former doctor, and now fellow Task Group Commanding Officer, "Captain Ehestri, how have you been?"

"I think you can call me Ledeya now Sir." She said good-naturedly as she put out her hand to shake in a human fashion. It was automatic when neither of them human at all. "I am well. How about you?" She wondered looking around at the room. It was likely this was one of the very few rooms unchanged.

Ryon followed Ledeya's lead and took the offered hand, he found that he defaulted to Human customs in official circumstances. "I am happy to be back in space, the Academy life was growing a bit dull," he laughed. "I am happy to see that the Cosmos is in good hands, you were always the best doctor," Ryon pointed out. "You don't have to call me Sir, I think we've known each other too long for that."

"I am sure Ranav will be glad to hear that I was the best." She said giving him a big grin before pulling her hand back. Her and the Bolian had always been closer than close. "I can imagine it would be growing boring after so long. There were only so many times you could teach the same things over and over."

"I can always have two favorites," Ryon joked back. "It was never teaching that got to me, it was always wanting to be out here experiencing what I was teaching," he corrected. Nodding toward the door, Ryon asked, "How much has changed since the last time I was aboard?" Being the former First Officer of the Cosmos, Ryon had once been able to find any point on the ship from any other blindfolded.

"We just won't tell him I am your favourite." Ledeya grinned showing how relaxed and at ease, she felt showing the man around his old ship. "Out here is where we belong." She mused before she looked around the corridor and smiled. "Layout is pretty much the same but the technology is up to date." It had been a long month trying to get the ship back to standard.

"Very good," Ryon nodded. The Cosmos was smaller than many of the Federation's warships but it had proven itself to be a tough ship. As the doors to the interior corridor opened with a whispering whoosh, the memories began to flood into his mind. "How long has it been?" he sort of said to himself.

"It was four years ago that I left," Ledeya admitted not sure if he was really talking to her. It was four years to the day yesterday that she had left for Gemini after the argument with Ranav and the fact he just wouldn't leave the ship.

"Have you two been able to patch things up?" Ryon asked. The argument had been fairly heated. Following up on the question he added, "I know he is your Second Officer, but hard feelings have a way of hanging on." He knew that from his own experience with his family back on Bajor.

"We are talking yes." The woman said without a hint of what was really going on. "Not much hard feelings hanging on at all. He made his choice and so did I. It has been four years since then. You know him better than I do right now." She promised thoughtfully about where he was leading her and whether it would the same as when he had left.

Ryon simply nodded an understanding. These kinds of things were always complicated and a little tragic. Trying to move on to happier topics, he stated, "I think we're going to win this battle. I like our chances against Task Group A."

"As do I. Harrington seems quite positive as well even if they do have a Vesta." She said as they reached the turbolift. It would be fun even if they lost the War Games, they could always try again next year.

"Did he ever get things straightened out? I heard some tabloid type news about Harrington," Ryon asked. "Our advantage will come with the Endeavour. It will probably have its sensor pod, it's too old to battle, as much as I like the Commodore."

"I am not sure. I try not to look at the tabloids when I became a feature of them." She could remember vividly the last headline she had seen about her self and since then she didn't even use them as an escape. "We will pretend you didn't say that but they have the big ships." Sometimes she wondered why the task groups were not really matched for strengths but she knew that she really didn't want some of the Captains in the other Task Groups.

"That they do, it is a shame that my biggest ship will be called away for a mission instead of here," Ryon replied with some regret. "What we lack in size, we make up in speed," he added. Shaking his head as if to indicate that he was done with this topic, he looked at his former doctor and asked with a certain twinkle in his eye, "Could I see the Bridge?"

Ledeya found a smile breaking out across her features and she nodded. "Only if you don't sit in my chair?" The woman said with a small smile. She didn't want to even why the Oydessy class ship was going off at the moment but it wasn't her problem at all. "Computer Bridge."

"Never," Ryon smiled as the turbolift began its journey. He almost looked forward to the tour of his former assignment. He wondered how many times he had been in this turbolift during those seven years he had served on the Cosmos.
