One thing was for certain, Eden had never slept better in her life. She'd remained in the same position all night with Sebastian's arm wrapped around her and it was a good nine hours before she opened her eyes again. This caused some muscles to complain upon waking, but she certainly wasn't going to complain about that. She was still for a minute until she was certain that he was also waking up. "Good morning."
Sebastian had barely moved, he wanted to keep the woman close and had even worn PJs for the first time in years. "Hello." He greeted softly snuggling down a little more before pressing a kiss to her neck without even thinking about it.
"So . . . you're the Captain right? Which means you can make it so I don't have to move from this spot all day?" She had no objection to Sebastian kissing her and was pleased to see he had loosened up a bit. She wouldn't break if he was affectionate. At the same time, she appreciated that he was being a gentleman.
"Well, are you signed off from Medical?" He teased as he slowly turned to look at her and leaned over her taking her in. It was almost innocent having her there if it wasn't for the way his body wanted to react to her being there.
"I choose not to answer that," Eden grinned at him and brought her lips up to meet his. The room, the corridor, the ship around her completely vanished from her perception. Later she might have thought about how Sebastian was the only man who made her feel as if he were touching her soul and not just her body but in the moment she had very few thoughts at all, except wanting to be with him.
It was strange how natural it all felt, waking next to her, kissing her like it was something he did every day, slipping his fingers over skin that was normally buried under layers of fabric. He pressed her down onto the mattress gently before pulling back from the kiss reluctantly.
"Hey," Eden said reaching for him. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing." The man assured as he pulled back just enough to look at her in the darkroom as she reached for him.
"So why'd you stop kissing me then?" She turned her head slightly, wondering what he was overthinking.
"Because if I didn't I might go further than expected." Although he would never know it, his body had spent the night paying acute attention to these signs, clinging to her presence like an overboard sailor to a life preserver. "You are making it very hard to stop." He added taking in her face.
"Maybe I don't want you to stop," Eden almost smirked. "So . . . . don't?" She reached for him again, this time wanting to take off his pyjamas if he would only let her.
The man let her pull the t-shirt over his head before he ducked to her neck kissing her. Running his hand down the length of her side, noting the curves of her body like an artist notes brushstrokes, he whispered, "It's not even close to morning yet right?"
Eden giggled breathlessly. "I am so not going to tell you what time it is." She turned her head, capturing his lips.
Sebastian couldn't argue with her thought. He was aware of the regulations against everything occurring, the secrecy that would be required, the clandestine approach they would have to employ to continue seeing each other but at the moment it was worth it.
Luckily for both of them Eden had a strong internet alarm clock which woke her just as it usually did, in time for the start of the next shift. She sighed, again, she did not want to leave him. But it wasn't right to keep him from running the ship. "I'd suggest we shower together but then we might never make it on to the bridge."
"I like that suggestion." The man admitted sleepily as he slowly disentangled himself from Eden and sat up.
Eden smiled and sighed. "I knew you would." She pushed herself up as well. "I'll sneak back to my quarters and get ready there." She said, planting a kiss on his cheek while she tried to put on articles of clothing. "Dinner tomorrow?" She asked. "Don't want you getting too sick of me."
The man nodded at her knowing it made more sense, it was more practical, to say the least as he knew now that he had experienced what was underneath and he didn't think he would be able to go back to how things had been before. But he also knew that he didn't want to get her in trouble or himself for that matter, he couldn't be selfish. "Yes. I don't think I could get bored of you." The man admitted softly.
Grinning broadly she approached and kissed him one last time before departing with all of her clothes on and her hair now pinned up messily in place. She could fix it after she showered. Skipping about every sixth step she rounded a corridor and was gone from view before the doors closed.
