For all her wild side and non-religious views, she found herself gripping the table and whispering a prayer to anyone who on the off chance why be listening to a Fenris’ Ranger's prayer asking for help and support in finding the refugees. She hated the thought that they were too late, they had never lost people before as a group. “Sacred spirit, protector of life, I come to you with a heavy heart. Cleanse my spirit so I might find my path to the people we search.” Indigo whispered under her breath as the SS Mary Rose came into sight on the view screen. “Looks like they are early Captain,” Indigo commented turning to see the woman.

"Almost Romulan in their timing," Kaylin noted. The sight of an old Constitution-class starship filled her with a strange sense of nostalgia. That the T'liss-class ship they were on may once have hailed from a similar era, it felt like ancient warriors once again crossing paths. "Hail them."

“I like that about them.” Indigo shrugged as she waited for the ship to hail them as they got closer and closer. She had no idea how this was going to work and that was up to the two captains to figure it out.

“We only have audio for some reason.” A voice piped up from the communication console."Should I request the view screen?" He wondered brows furrowed in confusion as to why it was not working unless the ship was finally ready for the scrap heap.

Kaylin's eyes narrowed as she contemplated that this could easily have been a trap. Elaborate, for Tal Shiar work, but not unheard-of. "Yes. I want to see who I am talking to."

Eden was nervous, and that was completely normal she reminded herself. She frowned, which seemed like a very Gregnol thing to do right now. She heard someone in the background mention that the other ship wanted a visual and she nodded. She could hold this face for an eternity with how she was feeling at the moment. "Captain Rueben Gregnol," she grunted in greeting, pronouncing it just as he would. And then she waited for them to do the same.

"Kaylin Jaal," the Romulan replied. "My crewman says you are willing to help us search for a missing transport. We do not have much time. Perhaps we should meet in person to discuss the problem?"

Standing beside conn and doing her best Jake impression, Liha nodded firmly, practically willing Eden to pick up on the fact that not agreeing would go very badly.

"Agreed," Eden replied, figuring Gregnol was a man of few words.

"We shall come aboard momentarily." Kaylin motioned to close the channel. Then she looked at the others on her bridge. "Not one for conversation. Maybe they're more Romulan than I thought."

As the communication was finally cut Indigo looked back at everyone and grinned. "So we get to go to an old Connie." Was it her birthday? Had she done something good She had wanted to go on one for years but never seemed to be able to find a working one up until now. How had this once possibly survived so long? "Maybe someone's girlfriend is rubbing off on them after all." She added innocently spinning around to avoid the gaze of the person she was teasing.

"Not my girlfriend, but I'd say it's entirely possible Liha has been a good influence on them," Taev suggested cheerfully. He was looking forward to seeing her again, but also very relieved to have the ship here so they could begin search and rescue for the lost refugees in earnest.

"Sure." Indigo hide her head as she had a little giggle at just how cheerful he sounded. It was a different enough changed in the man that a few other people noticed on the bridge and grinned themselves. "So who is going then?" The blue-haired woman requested eager to ask if she could go with them if she was not on the list.

"Before you ask, yes Indigo - you can come. I need someone who can understand their Human idioms and customs," Kaylin sighed. She knew the young woman was excitable, but that might provide sufficient distraction if anything unusual were going on. "Taev. Krynn." She motioned to her other two more trusted allies. "And bring Satun - about time we got her doing something useful."

Indigo smiled. She was pretty sure it was the only reason she was kept around whilst all the other humans shifted and changed to other ships or moved on. “She’s been useful,” Indigo murmured under her breath with a shake of her head. Her room mate was earning her keep it was just everyone was so damn suspicious all the time.

"So you say," Kaylin retorted with an eye roll. "Just make sure she doesn't cause us any grief with the humans. She's your responsibility, remember."

Indigo just stared at the Captain retorting with her own eye roll and shake of her blue hair. Why did they not trust the woman? What had she done to them for that to happen? They had trusted her instantly without any of the grief that Satun was going through. It made her protective of the older woman. "I really do not understand why you are acting like this towards her." She mused picking up her jacket to put on.

"Maybe because she was, or possibly still is, Tal Shair? Just a guess." Taev rolled his eyes.

"Same could be said be any of you." Indigo countered quietly with a shake of her head.

"Now you're getting it," Kaylin commented, marching for the exit towards the transporter room. "Come, let's not keep our new allies waiting."
