Nothing felt heavier than her eyelids as Eden forced them open. She had to immediately close them again as bright light flooded her retinas. She took a deep breath and just opened them as slits while a shadow crossed in front of the light and she was aware of someone bent slightly over her. Her brain was still in a relaxed sleepy mode and It didn't occur to her to think anything was wrong with the current situation. "What's going on?" she mumbled.

Cassie had been checking over the comatose crew like she had been every day when she had felt the signs of another one of the crew waking up. "It is okay Lieutenant. It is Ensign McAvoy." Cassie said using her maiden name as the woman would know her like that.

Eden still didn't have her eyes completely open yet. "Everything feels so heavy," she stated as if wanting an explanation for it. "What happened? I don't remember going to sleep. I can't seem to remember anything," that wasn't quite true, she recognized the woman's voice and she knew where she was.

"I felt like that when I woke up," Cassie assured softly as she stroked the woman's hand softly. Cassie had been lucky that she had woken up with Jasper and Johnathen within hours of them being freed. "You've been out awhile. The Doc is going to check you over check you've not suffered any effects of what happened. I am going to be right here." The Scientist said with a squeeze of her hand.

Breathing deeply, which also felt uncomfortable, Eden nodded. "Alright," it sounded good to her. Anything to make her feel better at the moment was a wonderful prospect.

"I'm Doctor Byrne," the man smiled as he walked toward the bed. He had been observing for a few moments to gauge Eden's mental state, she seemed just like the others who'd already came out of their comatose state. "I'm just going to give you a quick medical exam to check on you," he offered as soothingly as he could.

This part was always a bit strange, medical technology had changed in the last nearly two centuries. The medical tricorders of today would look alien, but it was the only way to get a good look at any cellular and DNA damage. the red light flickered as he scanned Eden. "I am seeing a bit of DNA damage, but that can be fixed with relatively easily." Looking into his patient's closed eyes, he said, "How do you feel right now? Any pain or something that just doesn't seem right?"

"DNA damage?" Eden echoed, not really worried yet about what that might mean. "I just feel achy all over, nothing hurts a lot."" She managed to open her hazel eyes and keep them open as she watched him.

"Being looped in the transporter causes a bit of degradation of time, especially for as long as your were locked in the ship," Chris stated, a bit taken aback with himself for making things sound worse than they were. Switching to a more reassuring voice, he added, "Absolutely nothing to worry about." He lifted a thumb over his shoulder to point toward a medical device behind him, "Two or three treatments with that will fix everything."

Eden had the urge to sit up but resisted it. "How long was I in there? Tell me the truth."

Cassie nodded at the Doctor. It was her place to tell the woman the truth as they had that shared experience together. "One hundred and fifty years." The woman said slowly thinking it would bring up a lot of questions.

"A hundred and fifty years?" That meant everyone she'd known, possibly except Cassie was dead. She lost her voice as she stared off into the distance for a moment. "Did the others? Are there others of us who survived?"

"Yes. Me, you, Kendra, Johnathan and Jasper are awake." She said glancing to where the others were still in their comas. "Everyone else is still in a coma," Cassie said softly thinking about her own confusion and the fact she had nearly attacked the crew here. "Starfleet didn't know how to get us out of our loop as they were in a state of war. They left us there and the ship fell into civilian hands."

"How long have you been awake?" It was the only thing she could think of to say. She finally made herself move into a sitting position though it was tough, she felt weak and shaky.

"About a month. You woke up just in time for my wedding." The woman grinned now that her friend was sat up she could give her a gentle hug.

Eden's eyes got wide again. "Wedding?"

"I'm getting married to Johnathen," Cassie explained with a small smile. She was lucky to be barely awake after what she had been going through with pon farr the last week or so. "But today isn't about me. It is about you and getting you fit and well to think and process all the changes." It was a very scientific way to look at it but Cassie, after all, was a scientist.

Not sure she wanted to think about it, Eden gave a half hearted smile. "Congratulations." Realizing the doctor was still hovering around her she frowned. "Is there anything else I should know about?"

"I would recommend getting your first treatment ASAP, now if you're good with it," Chris nodded. While the fix was fairly easy, she was still in virtually critical condition. Thinking about what this woman had been through, he held up a PADD and said, "This has access to the last 150 years or so of history. You can read and I'll be around if you have questions, much has changed since you've been in hibernation."

Eden nodded, already feeling exhausted just from sitting up and conversing with Cassie. "It's fine." She looked at the PADD warily, held it in her hand but didn't turn it on.

"I am going to leave you to rest and have your treatment. If you need me or anything just let Christopher know and he'll get me or one of the others okay." Cassie smiled sweetly but looked at the PADD worried thinking it might be too soon for that kind of information.

"Thanks," Eden gave a small smile to the other woman and then relaxed back into a reclining position.

Chris brought the DNA machine over toward the biobed. The doctor started tapping a few commands on an LCARS display that probably would have looked entirely alien to a person used to switches and levers. "It will be just a few moments, the treatment should last about half an hour."
